Truly a 'winter coat' for dogs with secure snaps BUT NOW we recommend that you ALSO BUY AND USE A SET OF 4 DIAPER ATTACHMENTS, 2 on the neck and 2 on the chest , when our dog's strength and activity ripped the bars and left him without them. This coat does not use unreliable Velcro. It sits well on the shoulders and around the chest but I wish it had reflective safety strips covering most of our German Shepherd's long neck, back, hips and sides. He wears it alone, with 4 diaper clips or with a lighter, reflective, waterproof and windproof coat over it. Our German Shepherd Kaiser feels very comfortable and happy with them as they do not restrict or disturb him in his very active lifestyle. I would definitely recommend this coat and will also ask the manufacturer for an even larger size (longer at the neck and tail / wider at the hips) as we ordered their largest coat.
