Review on πŸ’½ High-Capacity WD 5TB My Passport Ultra for Mac Silver Portable External Hard Drive with USB-C and USB 3.1 Compatibility by Kenji Viray Tsuchida ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Im not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

In my review below I will describe my opinion about the product WD 5TB My Passport Ultra Silver Portable External. Probably not important for everyone, but, unlike other manufacturers, there is a hard drive inside, which CANNOT be simply connected inside the computer via a regular SATA interface. It is soldered to the USB adapter board. With SEAGATE, I could simply unplug the hard drive from the USB adapter and plug it inside the computer. It wont work here.

Pros
  • Nothing special.
Cons
  • Gets hot with heavy use. My CrystalDiskInfo showed up to 48 degrees when the disk just lies on the table at room temperature. After heating, it stops working until it cools down. You have to use cooling briquettes from the refrigerator.

Has pros: Design, small, light, high-quality, nothing crunches, neat, instantly connects and works Some cons: The proprietary program did not start, issued a bug report and did nothing more sensible, as it did not rearrange and overload .

Pros: Failsafe. It just works and that's it. Different cons: The cord it connects to is hard to find.
