Review on Xit XTLCDMV Professional Viewfinder Magnification by Rob Madden

Support? GRILLING! I'm just saying.

For most of my purchases, I rely heavily on user reviews to determine whether or not I will buy a product. That said, I'm not the type to write reviews often, but that may change soon. I recently bought this viewfinder for both outdoor and real estate photography. I wasn't planning on using it often, but figured it would come in handy in the right conditions. Overall, I think this is still a true statement. However, I shoot with a Canon 5DMIV and have found that the metal ring around the viewfinder prevents the touchscreen on my camera from working. All in all not a deal breaker. I could work around this (albeit frustratingly). I liked what a real viewfinder offers, but not how it attaches to my camera. In my package I received a very nice message from the company that their goal is 100% satisfaction and an email address for feedback. I thought it was nice so I emailed the company instead of writing a negative review. When considering a purchase I saw a similar item but with a higher magnification and a different attachment to the camera so I asked about the possibility of trading my item for an alternative. GRILLING. So I let 2 weeks pass and sent a second email to continue. BBQ again! See. It's a $25 item. It's not the end of the world, and there's something about it that I like. I feel a bit silly taking the time to write this review but the reason I decided to proceed is because of the nice note included in the package. I believe in customer service. Everyone has a product. Customer service and support can make or break a product. I am disappointed that after two attempts in a couple of weeks I have not received a response from the seller. So buyers beware. Functional viewfinder, but may block the viewfinder on some cameras. And I think disregarding the seller's claim that 100% customer satisfaction is key.
