    Good price! Very important!

Perfect fit. The only item that required attention was the red wire that controls the switch. It didn't work and I had to hook it up to a different cable in the truck to make it work. I have a 2012 Ford F-150.

    Pros
    • Easy to read control panel
    Cons
    • A few little things

I bought this, everything connected and the radio had no power. The suspension is not to blame. The manufacturer (Ford F-150 XLT 2012) does not supply an additional 12V line to the factory radio. You have to run it yourself, some blame the seller, but in reality it's the automaker.

    • Stylish and modern design

    Almost Perfect: Car Electronics Accessory

I've used several of these in the past, this was the first one that made me a little tired. There was a lot of remnant "firmware", plastic that had to be removed with a knife around the 12 volt outlet and top mounting holes. When installed in my 2013 F150, contrary to the instructions and diagram, there is no additional/switched 12V power line. You will need to route the wire to the junction box under the passenger cowl and use the "Add-A-Circuit Mini" adapter to connect to the breaker 38. Once

    Find out BEFORE you buy!

Let me start by saying that this dash mount is awesome! Very easy to apply and looks great! We were able to customize it to look almost factory like! BUT. We bought it thinking it would allow us to install our new Pioneer touchscreen stereo deck, foosball subwoofer and amp, but it didn't. All wiring harnesses are very different and I have been told by several installers that almost all touch screens require a specific wiring harness. That was another $75 for us. That wiring harness was garbage.

Looks great in auto electronics accessories

I have a 2011 F-150 XLT truck that had its factory radio fail many years ago. The clock just blinked, and sometimes the display went completely blank, but there was no music. I had an old radio lying around and this kit was cheap and had pretty much everything I needed. Note that the 12V switch power wire in the wiring harness is not in the factory wiring harness. You need to connect this to a power switch. I bought a fuse socket at Autozone and connected it to fuse 37 and it works with the…

    Disappointing surface texture

It's okay. It has no clips that attach to the vehicle so they have to be carried around. The surface texture is standard and doesn't match the car at all. I have a 2011 F150 and the emergency button assembly got stuck in the hole in this unit causing the buttons to get stuck. that sucks. The 12v cigarette lighter/socket on the bottom is the wrong size and broke both tabs on my 12v socket so I can't use it now. The hole for the USB sync port is also too small and broke one of my clips. I ran out

Not plug and play for me.

I was very upset and disappointed with this part of the installation. I assume this is largely Ford's fault given that I had to run my own power cable from the passenger side fuse box and the fact that my steering wheel controls would probably never work without the original stereo. It would only be nice if I expected it. I'm still glad I bought it, it looks original and fits like a glove, but I spend HOURS getting things to work and they're still not complete and I've basically come to terms…

    Doesn't install well

I recently used this kit to install an aftermarket radio on a 2014 F150 XL. Here's the scoop: FOR: 1. Cheap2. Plastic is fairly easy to cut with a sharp office knife (see CONS). Minuses: 1. The complete set with a control panel is not very good. In particular, the emergency light on the top of the panel is not suitable. I had to cut the plastic with a utility knife and build up an edge with tape to get the right fit. Otherwise, the hazard button will get stuck after pressing.2. The fit on top…

Might be better with a different brand - the face kit isn't that good.

First of all it worked in that it did what it was supposed to do. The price wasn't bad, and it had everything together rather than taking apart the wiring harness, face, radio hardware, and antenna adapter piece by piece. The wiring harnesses and fixings for the radio were fine. The faceplate, well I had to spend a few bucks more and/or take a little longer to find a Metra or Scosche kit as I *always* got lucky with those. As another posted here in the comments, I had to trim the top hole…
