Quality item at a reasonable price

For my Subzero fridge freezer. Exact match of original but 1/3 of OEM price. Easy to install, just behind the top grate. 2 Click the connectors. Fixed an issue where the light would not turn on when opening a door. Next to it is a second similar switch that stops the fans when the door is open, but the other part is # because it's off when the door is open and the light switch is on when the door is open. There is another set of these switches for the freezer door.

Perfect replacement

This switch is the OEM light switch for my Sub-Zero 550 (20 year old) and still works great. Assembly is easy, the old one is removed with little effort, the new one is inserted perfectly, no screwing, press fit, electrical wires are reinserted (no tools). Above the door are two switches, the left one for the light, the right one for the fan. they are not interchangeable. The light switch is normally off. opening the door turns it on. The fan switch is opposite so you cannot swap them, they are

It's ideal for: Refrigerators, Freezers and Ice Makers

The fridge side light on our Sub Zero fridge started flickering, sometimes coming on and sometimes not. I occasionally wiggled the switch blade to allow the door contacts to fix it for a day or so, eventually deciding to replace the switch. Switch. Then simply unplug the insulated quick connectors from the old switch (pull on the quick connectors NOT the wire), squeeze the clips together (this may require pliers) and pull the old switch out. Slide the new switch into the hole until it clicks…

  • Easy Installation

  • Questionable Purchase for Seniors

DOES NOT WORK ON ALL MODELS!

I have an older Sub Zero 211RFD. This model originally required a 4-pole switch that turned off the condenser fans (when the light was turned on) when the door was opened so cold air would not be lost. Unfortunately, the original part is no longer produced. To adapt this part to older units you need to do 2 things: 1. "Skip" the fan circuit to allow the fan to keep running when the door is open and closed. The fan will still be active when the door is open, but oh well. 2. Make a small wire…

Same switch used in many SUB-ZERO refrigerators

Used to replace the light switch in a 10 year old Model 632 Sub-ZERO refrigerator. Completely indistinguishable from the original switch. In fact, I'm convinced it was probably made by the same manufacturer as Sub-Zero. It also looks like it will work for a nearby fan switch if needed. Very easy to install, just remove the top grille and press the tab on the right side by prying up the tab on the bottom of the switch with a thin spatula (easier than it sounds). At least $120-$140 plus the cost…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Just what my Sub-Zero 611 needs!

Called Sub-Zero because my fridge was on fire and the bezel wouldn't light up. First I changed the bulbs to no avail. I called Sub-Zero and I think it's a common problem because the woman told me I had two choices. Have a tech go (expensive) or fix the switch yourself. She was kind enough to email me directions. Reading other Revain reviews I thought it would be pretty basic. This is if you have a screwdriver"asterisk". I had no problem unscrewing the fairing or cover, it was just a cover…

Very easy replacement if lights don't come on when door is open

Anyone with a SubZero can tell you what a headache it is when something breaks. Where I live the only 'authorized' dealer charges a hefty service fee just to fix the problem. They don't even offer credit if you do repairs. So when I saw that something like this simple switch on my 690 was broken, I was determined not to spend a fortune to fix it. Replacing this switch is very easy. Simply turn off the power, remove the grill cover and the switch is located just above the door. Both switches…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Everything is great

simple fix (mostly), sorry i've been waiting

the old switch was broken for a while. Sometimes the light didn't come on when you opened the door, but then came on when you pushed the switch a bit. I was good at it, but it ultimately failed completely. I was concerned this would require a professional. The place we bought it from (about 20 years ago) has great service but they charge about $200 just to come and see it. I've found this to be such a common problem that Sub Zero even has instructions for replacing the switch on their website…

Pros
  • good product for the price
Cons
  • poorly thought out
