Both 2 in Computers and Accessories

I bought 2 of these access points. They've been working for a while but they get blocked and cause our Wi-Fi to freeze. Our phones and laptops deceptively believe the signal is strong. It took me quite a while to realize that our router finally took over their load!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Works well, has a few firmware bugs

Background: I bought this about 4 months ago as part of a project to upgrade my typical integrated router/switch/access point with a more flexible and more flexible to replace powerful solution with standalone components. It is connected to a "plus" (semi-managed) Netgear Gigabit Ethernet switch, a Jetway mini PC running VyOS as a router, and another switch that powers other devices. I'm using a 12V DC power supply as I don't have a PoE switch. This access point has most of the features you…

Great AP, but the setup is not for a beginner.

This hotspot works great - I've even pointed out to a few friends and neighbors. plug and play You can run it by following the guide, but it helps a lot if you understand access points and their different configurations. In terms of performance, this is the best of any Netgear, D-Link, and Cisco I've used. Compares well to some commercial devices like the Ruckus.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Power outlet required

Disappointed product for networking products

Having had good luck with ZyXel routers, this product is disappointing. I bought two, one as a "root AP" and the other as a repeater from the first. Constantly crashing (particularly, but not exclusively, the repeater), sometimes for hours or reboots, sometimes for several days. Hours of phone calls to ZyXel tech support got nowhere. 3 beta firmware updates have not gone away. They refused to let me speak directly to 2nd or 3rd level tech support. I ended up returning one of them but couldn't…

Lucky and 5 bars best in wireless hotspots

Like other Zyxel hotspots, this one is very good. I use Zyxel access points and am happy with them. Easy setup, professional setup at the same time. good signal, no downtime. I prefer that to many other brands.

Pros
  • Great price

  • Exchange availability

RELIABILITY - Computers and Accessories

i There are two Category 6 cables on the outside of the building facing the sea. In such an environment, they last two to three years. Not bad for the price!

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • No Instructions

ZyXEL NWA1123-NI is fantastic and meets my needs for a large home implementation that requires different VLANs for storage, backup, network, audio/video, phone, TV broadcast, broadcast/Internet radio/music and guest two guest VLANs - one secure and one public. I consistently recommend this product (after purchase and implementation) for businesses and large residential projects, keeping in mind that this recommendation is not based on price. The price just makes my recommendation a win-win! My…

Not bad, there are nuances / problems.

This is a good product but not quite perfect. I replaced my normal router with this access point because I had too many drops on this router. Dropouts decreased significantly, but did not completely disappear. I still get them every now and then. I've had two in the past three weeks. Which is still a lot better than once or twice a day. I like the idea of creating multiple networks from the same access point, which I couldn't do on a router. However, the isolation between multiple networks is…
