Big improvement, best in the air intake

Replacing the OEM intake is one of the smartest things I've done on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The stock air hose created so much internal turbulence that it restricted airflow. This slim air hose, along with a large, high-quality air filter, allows the asthmatic 3.8-liter V6 to breathe efficiently.

A very good quality. I put it on around 30.

Exactly what I needed. Exactly what was advertised. My gas mileage appears to have increased by 1 1/2 mpg. A very good quality. I installed it in my garage in about 30 minutes with minimal tools. The instructions were very well written, with good pictures and details so you can fully understand the installation.

    Installed in under an hour

I installed and ran my 2009 Jeep JK but didn't notice a difference. I took it out on the road and heard a noticeable change in sound as I accelerated and my wife said she felt the pickup too. It was snug and meant for JK. I've been listening for a whistle but I don't think there is one (according to previous posts). I wouldn't even upgrade the exhaust now. I wish I had made it in '09 when I bought it.

I just installed the air intake

I installed the air intake today and have only driven my 2010 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited about 5 miles since the parts were installed. Installation took about 30-45 minutes and everything came together pretty well. I immediately noticed an increase in horsepower and throttle response. If you've ever driven a Jeep with a 3.8-liter V6 engine, you know that extra power is needed. I look forward to the fuel economy improvement and will write another review in a few weeks after driving the jeep a few…

I wish I had done it sooner

I installed this along with an Airaid throttle body spacer on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited about 6 weeks ago. All in all it took less than an hour and everything is very easy. The fit was a bit tight, but I don't think it would have been if I hadn't also put a throttle body gasket. The sound is great, but not bad. The improvement in power and torque is incredible! I have a 6-speed manual and have to downshift a lot less than I used to when overtaking and going uphill. I think I'm seeing an…

    Leading Skeptics To Believe

I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X (4-door) with about 69,000 miles and I wanted to improve fuel mileage after changing to 285/70/17 tires. I did a lot of research and finally decided on the Airaid 310-208. My fuel economy was around 11-12 mpg city and 15 mpg highway at best. I installed this air intake and had some pretty drastic changes in gas mileage. I jumped to 15-16 mpg city and about 19 mpg highway. Although that's not the only difference I noticed. If you're a Jeep owner, you've…

    This is great stuff

I installed this on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door and it took about 45 minutes with some basic tools and limited knowledge of automotive mechanics. The instructions are complete and detailed. I can feel a definite improvement in torque and the usual sluggishness of the stock 3.8L V6 is gone! I finally have the "throttling" and power it takes to get up those hills when the car's loaded, and I guess Jeep wanted to cure that with the new 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar they've had since 2012 of the year…

Good price for a K&N knockoff system.

Oiled Cloth Air Filter. God, that sounds familiar. Not exactly a terrible setup, but it's the toughest cold air kit I've ever made out of a 4 car. The pictures in the instructions could be better. I don't know why Airaid chose not to reuse the factory plastic choke eyelet/sleeve mounting system, it could have saved 5-10 minutes of installation time and the radiator bracket seems redundant. Here are some tips. The "hump" rubber connector barely fits the plastic intake pipe, but glides over the…
