Perfect drying light!

Perfect hair dryer light! There were no lights in my new dryer(!), so this is a great (and inexpensive) way to peek into a dark cave. The neck bends slightly so it slides in and out of the dryer door easily, but the magnet needs some maintenance. The magnet stays in place when stationary. I needed an extension cord for my setup, but I think the cord is sufficient for others who have an outlet nearby. Great little light!

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Bright light not suitable for sewing

I bought a light to boost the light on my sewing machine when sewing dark fabrics. I have an old black zinger so the head is metal but the magnetic base doesn't stick to anything other than a flat base. So I had to position the light behind the installed Singer flashlight. The bright LED flashlight on the back makes it very difficult to see the presser foot and stitches. However, there is no other place to place the light.

Pros
  • Complete kit
Cons
  • No instructions

This is great for killers.

This little light is great. It's very light. I attach it to my sewing table and pull out the flexible neck when I start sewing, slide it back when I'm not sewing. When I couldn't find a lightbulb for my old sewing machine, I bought this lightbulb to replace a lightbulb. The magnet is very strong and the thin metal plates stick very well. Just plan your location before placing the metal disc constantly so the cable doesn't get in the way or is too short.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Quality

Just make sure your car is "steel "

Janome Memorycraft is made of a metal alloy that the magnet won't stick to. Spirit. I'm assuming it was my fault, but as a warning to others, before you order, make sure your car is actually steel. Take a magnet and see if you have one. Otherwise not as bright as expected. I will try to repurpose it for another use. (The cord length is about 3 feet, which would be a bit shorter in my case. 6 feet would be better if you don't have an outlet on your workbench/desk.

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • For seniors

I needed more light for my Singer Featherweight. A Featherweight website recommended a special magnetic light. It stuck, but then fell off after a few minutes of sewing. This little fella sits like crazy. The best part was that I could bend and manipulate it to put light where I needed it without getting in the way. I like that it does too Plugs into an outlet. I don't like changing batteries and don't like putting my computer next to my sewing machine to charge the lights.

Pros
  • Includes 55" AC power cord; Includes ON/OFF switch;
Cons
  • So far so good

Inconvenient to use when not sticking to your sewing machine

The light itself is great. It works well for lighting up my sewing area, but I have an old sewing machine that it won't stick to, so I've made awkward use of the light by placing it over metal applique scissors on my desk. One of the things it's attached to will also be liable. The magnet itself works but since it doesn't stick to my car I'm having trouble using it. The design is such that this light cannot sit on a table or similar surface without falling off. So if it doesn't stick to your…

Pros
  • Can be placed in the best position for lighting with its magnetic base, the flexible 7 inch gooseneck allows you to adjust the light exactly where you need it without to sag or sag;
Cons
  • Not sure

This magnetic lamp base has a gooseneck that protrudes at the side. This is not a table lamp. The magnet at the base allows you to attach it to any magnetic surface (not all metals are magnetic) and then adjust the neck in your preferred direction on the lamp. It is not designed to support its own weight while sitting on a table. If you use it as intended and stick it to a surface that can hold the magnet, it will work as intended. However, most modern sewing machines no longer have metal…

Pros
  • This light will illuminate even the darkest of work areas so you can easily complete all your projects without straining your eyes;
Cons
  • A few little things
