    Ease of use: heating, cooling and air quality

    I am very satisfied with this remote control. I'm so glad I don't have to get up in front of the fireplace to turn on the fan and fire. It was easy to install and use whether it was on or off.

    Poorly made! for heating, cooling and air quality

    Cheaply made. After about three months of infrequent use, the remote stopped working and replacing the batteries didn't solve the problem. Shortly thereafter, the slide switch button fell off. Wouldn't recommend at all

    The product failed after one (1) winter season.

    This product has worked well while it has worked. I don't know what caused the failure, but the product failed in just one winter. Installing new batteries did not fix the problem.

    Worked perfectly and was easy to install

    I was able to replace my old unit (which had melted) with this one and it was up and running in about 30 minutes. I don't think it should have taken that long, but supporting instruction and work was included in my time. It worked perfectly and I'm glad our gas magazine is working again. Thank you!

    Exact replacement for the original Ambient

    After almost 15 years the receiver for my gas fireplace broke (on the coldest day of the year!). I ordered a set believing the remote was old too. The items I received are identical to the old ones. I put in the batteries and lit (no pun intended) gas magazines. This came with white and black faceplates and a wall mounting kit for the receiver, a nice touch.

    Great Ambient Fireplace Remote Control

    I was offered $250 to $350 to service a faulty Ambient brand fireplace remote control. I searched the net and found it for $156 for a self install. I was able to get this for less than $90 at Revain. Installed as a replacement in under 10 minutes and works great! Highly recommend DIY and save money. Another nice feature: if I couldn't install it on Revain Prime, I could return it and it wouldn't hurt me any worse!

    Found an EXACT match for my 1995 fireplace.

    I moved into my current home in 2013 and a gas fireplace was a great addition. The problem is that the fireplace was not working and the battery box and controls were in poor condition due to battery leakage. Searched and even in local fireplace shops and just did not help. Revain arrived and it was exactly the replacement for what I needed for my gas fireplace. Works well, had a little trouble installing but the wires are so small and need to be placed in tight places (I have big hands). The…

    Works as advertised. Very satisfied.

    5 stars because it works as it should. Easily install and turn gas magazines on and off with a switch and remote control. However, the ON/OFF function is reversed. To turn on I have to use the OFF position of the switch, and to turn it off I use the ON position. When the remote functions switch is placed in the RS position, the buttons continue to operate in the opposite direction. Press the OFF button and turn on, I use the ON button to turn off.
