Install it and forget it

I don't think it would take long to say that if your TV or monitor has an HDMI connector and your graphics card has a DisplayPort connector, this product makes them work together. Plug in and done. I upgraded my graphics card to relieve CPU and RAM without realizing that HDMI is no longer state of the art. I use three monitors for music and photo production (the last one is the bottleneck). This adapter did it.

Perfect fit for Dell 0ptiplex 9020. Includes Displayport for HDMI output

I am posting this information because I looked for it before making the purchase. I didn't get any clear feedback from anyone. I took a chance, tried it on my device and it works great. My computer is a Dell Optiplex 9020 with Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics. The display port is only on the back of the computer, no HDMI. I didn't know if I needed an active or passive adapter. no one has definitely posted anywhere if this will work. My review is intended to help those who are in my situation…

WTF is a display port. best way to connect a monitor or tv

Was I the last person to know there was such a thing as a display port? Maybe like this. After noticing 2 of these on my PC's graphics card and trying to figure out how to connect 2 monitors to 1 HDMI port, I did a little research. Obviously they offer the benefits of a high quality connection via HDMI. Other than that, I don't carry long Displayport cables with me. Although I have many HDMI cables. Plug in this adapter cable and now I have options. The cable works well and looks high quality…

Failed within a year.

I bought this in March 2020. It worked great for a while, but a year later it died and stopped working. I've tested it with multiple HDMI cables, monitors, and graphics card connectors and it just doesn't work. No visible damage and when I moved my car once it only moved 2 feet. Exchanged for another adapter and everything works again. (Right now I'm actually using a Displayport to DVI adapter that connects to DVI to HDMI, which is stupid. I bought it to replace that stupid thing, but I'll have

Adapter required

My graphics cards (EVGA 1080Ti and now EVGA 2080Ti) only have one HDMI output and 3 DP outputs. Since my TV and soundbar only connect via HDMI, I needed an adapter. Going from my computer to the Bose soundbar and then to the TV gave a max frequency of 30Hz so I needed two HDMI cables so I had 1 cable for the TV (and 60Hz) and one for the soundbar. It also gives me the ability to listen to music while reading content on the internet and much better sound when watching movies etc compared to TV…
