Well Written Paper Sewing Patterns

I've seen photos of quilts made from this book on social media and they all look great (except for the fabric choices as this is a maker, not a book). I'm new to paper quilting and can't wait to try some of these. If you read through the patterns, they seem very well written and easy to follow once you understand the basics of paper sewing.

  • Few Competitors

  • Periodicity

Template disk error.

Patterns are very detailed and will no doubt be complicated but very creative. The pattern on the disc for the butterfly is inaccurate. The lower part of the right wing actually repeats the upper left wing. It's very frustrating to realize that I have to redo the bottom wing to complete this project. It is obviously a hard drive error. Any suggestions or is there a later solution to this error I missed? Otherwise I would give this product a "5".

Beautiful Block - Floud Pattern

I love animals, the details of the pattern, the size of each of the blocks. That's all I love The only thing I've tried so far is the butterfly. It has amazing detail but the pattern is fluffy. I consider myself an advanced paper quilter. So I was able to work around the shortcomings. For someone new to creating paper bases, this might seem like a daunting task. Here is a list of some problems: 1) There are multiple blocks with the same labels, for example there are five separate blocks labeled

I love these big paper staples.

My book just arrived and I'm very excited to see these patterns. The fact that they can be scaled up for larger blocks is great. I've been looking for designs that are larger than the average 12" and they're perfect. I love the sample CD so I won't keep track of it. I look forward to more from this talented patchwork maker. One thing I found as a newbie to paper sewing is that it would help if each piece of paper had an arrow pointing to the starting sewing line. The sections are labeled 1, 2…

Kindle version has no templates

Fixed. I've been looking for owl patterns and Juliet is hard to beat. They are beautiful. So I decided I didn't need a physical copy, so I ordered the Kindle edition. But after purchasing it, I found that there are NO TEMPLATES in the Kindle edition! THE? Buying a sample book and then not being able to download or use it is incredible. What should I do now? Edited: I contacted the author Juliet and she was very kind to reply. She was able to point out the patterns to me and now I'm such a happy

Amazing designs in this book

Of all the paper pattern books I've read and checked out at the library, this one is my favorite! I actually borrowed it from the library first to see if I liked it. And I did, so I bought my own copy. Patterns are modern, nothing boring or old-fashioned. The book comes with a pattern disc so you can print as many times as you need for quilting. Instructions and templates are easy to understand. The finished products are amazing! I love every design in the book. And I recommend this book to…

The Kindle version includes a link to downloadable templates

The Kindle version includes a link to the publisher's website where all paper booklet templates can be downloaded. You need to register an account, but you don't have to pay the price listed on the publisher's website to access the PDF. All templates are in one file with hundreds (!) of pages, so when printing you have to be careful to print only the animal you are working on. Like the paperback CD templates, they are formatted for A4 paper, not US font. However, the author deliberately…
