Cheaper than buying disposable DI cartridges

I use this to refill disposable DI resin cartridges from the same company. This filler saves me money in the long run as it can fill 3 full 2.1cc. at cartridges. At $18 for a cartridge compared to $18 for either of them, that's not a problem. It also helps prevent unwanted plastic from ending up in landfills. The two plastic bags that contain the resin tear very easily and make a mess, so something needs to be improved here. I have to use the plastic bag underneath to catch all the resin that…

The cheapest way to get good quality deionized water.

My cartridges only last 1 season before they turn brown. As you may know, they aren't exactly cheap, but if you can buy a bag of this size at this price, it becomes quite affordable. I don't know how many refills I'll pull out of this bag, but I will never buy cartridges again and I won't need another bag for 10 years! To keep it in good shape I just cut the corner, rolled it tight, used a vacuum pump to suck out the air, glued it in place and clamped the corner. Then I keep it in the bottom…

Fiction! to fish and aquatic animals

I live in the desert in Yuma, Arizona, so we deal with sand dust on a daily basis. Although we have a domestic water softener, it does not affect the external faucets. I bought a hose to connect to our water softener and while it helped reduce water stains there was enough left that it was driving me crazy. I have a separate on-the-go portable water softener for my RV, so I contacted this company about their deionizer and was told I could remove the softener resin and replace it with their…

He does what he has to do and does it very well.

I use it to wash expensive cars. It really is the only way to wash a black truck and not worry about water stains. I've noticed several people complaining about a hole in the Mylar bag. What these people didn't mention is that the resin was sealed in 5 other bags inside this bag. I personally haven't seen any other place that took the time to do this. As for the durability of the product. This is probably the best resin, or at least as good as any top brand resin you will buy. I've washed my…

So far, so good. for aquarium pumps and filters

Last 5lb bag of resin I bought from another company and it looks like the resin has gone bad after 8 months of storage. That's fine, it got my 15 TDS water down to zero with no issues, and so far the canister has been pretty slow to use up. Just a warning, packages of these things never close properly once opened. That killed my last bag. Once the anions and cations in the resin are exposed to moisture for any length of time, they simply stop working. So my advice is to buy a good quality…

    Color Change Deionization Resin

I use this for my 180g seawater tank. Color changing resin lasts as long as expected for my particular setup (1 settling filter, 2 carbon filters, 2 resin). I measure the quality of the water entering and leaving the resin with the built in dual TDS PPM monitor. I already know that tap water going into the filters needs help, so I'm not concerned with measuring the PPM going into the system, just what comes out of the filtration stage. This helps me know if I need to change filters or resin. In

No fuss, no fuss. - Aquarium Pumps and Filters

I have been buying NGCCDI resin from the same company as RODI equipment for 20 years. They carry a good DI resin that lasts 4 months before it runs out. I thought I'd try this brand. I've read reviews here that it doesn't last long before exhaustion. I think I will. It only took me 10 minutes to do the following, whatever my method was; Remove the DI canister from the RODI device, remove the end cap and flush with fresh RODI fluid. I always wash in the sink above the disposal. (to make falling…

Easy to use - aquarium pumps and filters

This was one of the easiest RODIs to change out, the resins were packaged in triple bags, four if you count the outer bag which contained two separate 10" Canister contains sachets. and felt fresher than my last pre-filled canister, it was easy to clean and rinse out the bottom filter plugs (don't throw them away, you'll need them). and my system was reassembled with no leaks! Carefully cut open the vacuum bag marked 700g which is a double zip bag compressed to prevent air ingress. Take out the

Maybe it's not the color change - mine doesn't change color

I don't know how to explain but I'll try The packaging is nice. It comes in a plastic zippered pouch in a foil pouch. I would recommend cutting carefully to avoid tearing the plastic for future storage. The product was well packaged and appears to be working well (perhaps too well). Here's the problem: This is my third (third) time filling a 45 gallon container with water and I haven't seen the DI change color yet. Typically after 90 gallons of BRS DI resin I see a canister of DI resin empty or
