Coming from an Orbi RBK50 that I tried last week. I have a 1GB up/down connection. On the Orbi, I couldn't go over 500Mbps over Ethernet, let alone Wi-Fi. I bought ZenWifi AX after reading positive reviews and 7 years of experience with ASUS routers and building a mesh network with GT ROG AC5300 and RT-AC86U. Use Zenwifi router as main router and wireless backhaul node with GT ROG AC5300 as Ethernet backhaul device.
