Pretty good KVM for computer components

I would give this 5 stars but I can't get it to work in 4K at 60Hz. At a frequency of 30 Hz and below, everything works fine. But the moment I set the driver update rate to 60, >blam<. He's dead. I just bought another batch of high quality HDMI cables so I'll give that a try. I spent more money on HDMI cables to get 60Hz than the cost of the KVM itself. Although the box is really good. The processing quality is pleasant. It's small. It's easy to place. It has a large number of USB ports…

EDID monitoring does not broadcast to all sources

The 4-port KVM switch I purchased works, but it does not broadcast EDID information to all connected devices. So when you switch sources, the previous source behaves as if the monitor was fully unplugged, and the new source behaves as if the monitor is plugged back in. This moves icons and windows. If one of the sources is a multi-monitor configuration, all windows and icons are moved to the remaining monitor that is not part of KVM. And the worst thing is that the switching time is very long…

This is the best KVM I've seen, especially for the money

I've had it for about a week and no problems. The lag that people keep referring to is literally less than 5 seconds. I'm not sure under what circumstances an 'instant' switch is required, but I can easily run on 3 separate devices with a short delay between switches. Absolutely no performance is lost. Incidentally, the delay mainly affects the screen switching, keyboard and mouse react almost without delay. I think other reviewers should consider the cost and be more realistic about the short…

Excellent customer service.

I use this device to monitor and control 2 DVRs with security cameras (device supports up to 4). Installation was very easy. I first connected the HDMI cables from the DVRs to the KVM and then the USB cables from the DVRs to the KVM (included with the KVM). I then connected the HDMI cable from the monitor to the KVM. Then I connected the "mouse" to KVM. I connected the PSU to the KVM (it has a screw on the PSU to ensure good contact). Finally, plug the power adapter into a 110V AC outlet. At…

Not ready for computer use

This review is for 4KSW41-H2-KVM Pros: Inexpensive 4-port KVM switch Small and handy size Well-made metal body Stylish locking PSU connector Cons: Switching between ports takes longer than 5 seconds. When switching between ports, some of my computers FALL / RESTART. HDMI cable not included (USB only). Deprecated "Port indicator next to Shift” theme. Comments: This would be a great little KVM switch if it actually worked. be almost immediately). The fact that it tends to crash some of my…

Doesn't work for my setup

KVM doesn't seem to work for me at all. I can connect both my laptop and desktop computer directly to my 4k@60Hz monitor with no issues. When cycling through KVM, only the desktop controls the connection, and even then it needs to be dropped to 4k at 50Hz to avoid very frequent screen blanking. Both laptops are hopelessly connected via a switch (even at 1080p). They cycle through the monitor and then lose connection. Very rarely do I get a brief screen flash before it dies again. Moving wires…

  • High price

This is my third KVM switch in a month but it looks like the last. What I like about it - compared to others I've tried: (1) Most of the time you're switching between displays. It has a dedicated front switch for each display. No more "click-click-click” to get to display 4 when at 1 you just "click” on display 4. (2) HDCP requiring streaming content will work with it, unlike the other two which claimed HDCP 2.2 but don't work with Netflix streaming. (Netflix will complain if you're using a…

Don't believe in hate! Great KVM switch for the price!

So I was thinking, comparing and researching different KVM switches in roughly the same price range on Amazon and I chose this one for the following reasons: Its size: It is neither thin nor long like many other ones seems to take up less space as it's slightly taller than others I've compared to. Appearance: I like LED lights with a switch and a metal body. The build quality is solid. Configuration: (This was a big plus for me) Most of the USB output ports are on the back panel. I prefer this…

A good product that takes some getting used to.

To set the tone, I have a desktop, a few laptops and a Raspberry Pi, and the occasional machine that I can work with for someone else. There is so much space in my home office and so many monitors and such that I can connect to everything. I bought this unit specifically for my work laptop to give a second screen to my desktop computer which has 2 monitors attached. I also intend to connect the Pi but haven't connected one yet. In general, the product is reliable. This allowed me to connect one
