I bought this as a decoration, not a medical model - I really wanted a strong, high quality skull, not some crappy Halloween. It's built quite solidly - I really like that it doesn't have the traditional little metal hooks to hold the cap - instead it uses little neodymium magnets to snap in - so it really comes together nicely

This is a good skull model - true to scale/life size, decent casting (small shiny artefacts that can be easily removed/sanded off), appears solid. (This is a replacement for one I received in the 80's but was lost in the early 00's.) My original skull model had more separately molded parts (which required gluing but represented the nature of these bones a bit better), but this one has a spring to hold the jaw (no elastic) and the silicone "cartilage" on the jaw loops is good. This skull is perfect for anatomical sketching and will look great on a display shelf when not in use. no dentist lol), a nice clean white that shows light and shadow well, an almost invisible (at normal angles) spring in the mouth to attach the jaw and hidden magnets to hold the skullcap in place.
