Works perfectly! for building materials

Excellent product. Easy to use. Cuts with no problems. No expensive cutting tool required. The utility knife is great for trimming to a narrower size after application.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Exactly what I needed

This edging was exactly the color and width I needed for the shelves I bought from Menards. It took a little practice to learn how to apply them nicely, but on the third try everything worked out perfectly. I am satisfied and would buy them again if I had to add more shelves.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I'll write back

great fabric! the best building materials

I took this with my usual skepticism about glued parts, but since it's the only edge finishing for edged melamine panels I decided to give it a try. It was a very pleasant surprise how well it worked. With a hot iron the tape slips and holds, is extremely easy to use and solves the age old problem of chipped melamine edges for those who don't have a suitable (and expensive) cutting blade.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • There are downsides too

Great product and easy to use

We have painted our old oak cabinet doors white and left the edges around the oak drawers. We considered painting them and decided to try it on the basement closet we had left and it didn't work. We ordered them and they are easy to use, you can just iron them and they look like shelves that are already in the boxes. We went through almost the entire kitchen and it looks great, would buy again for other cabinet projects.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some small details

Easier to use than I thought

This turned out to be very easy to use. It's exactly 3/4 inch long. So if you use it for a 3/4 inch board and carefully straighten it, you don't need to trim it (note: you will see a small piece of the edge of the melamine board). If you do, decide if this is enough for you or if you need to go up a size and cut it off). It took a few times to stick, but it was very easy to use, very intuitive, and just what I needed.

I hate melamine but this edging is great!

Easy to cut, attach and trim. Makes your edges beautiful in just a few minutes. I just built a melamine cabinet to match an existing cabinet and the overall experience was terrible. The material is heavy, the edges are weak, it splits, the dust is uncomfortable, I sincerely hope that I will never use this material again. However, using this edge was a bright spot. I loved how easy it was to apply and how the results looked clean and complete. I can't wait to try it on plywood.

  • Easy to read control panel

The best so far, great white matte look and easy to work with.

Great looks, easy to cut, even better adhesion {clean before installation, I use an old heavy iron}. Used it in at least 5 projects for kids, still runs like the first day of installation. Once the glue is dry leave it alone, if it sticks a little crooked, sorry. I removed everything and inserted a new piece instead of saving. Stains; easy to remove [at least the ones I've treated with ink, ketchup, mustard, and plastic shavings]. Definitely: recommended in the circle of friends and of course…

Runs like clockwork

I've never used a lot of melamine, but for the large desktop I was building it made sense. The melamine tops of course have raw chipboard edges, so I'd either have to spend a lot of time and effort cutting solid wood edges - it's a difficult project because the table is huge and I don't have any brackets to reach it for installing the solid wood. Then I saw this product and decided to try it. Excellent results! It was very easy to install using a standard iron and a rubber sanding block as a…

Works perfectly! Practice first.

This takes some practice, so do it with a few notes first. If you use a heat gun, keep it moving, otherwise it will turn yellow or even burn. Notice how long it takes to flatten out when the glue is hot enough to press down. I used a giant flat butter knife and never touched anything with the sharp edge, just the flat surface and the other blunt side. Depending on the outside or room temperature, the time required for this varies and in colder conditions you have to work faster so that the…
