the screen is small and difficult to read

Overall I like it and it's a great price. it doesn't really get enough recognition today. The only thing I would have wished for was that the screen was a bit bigger. Even with my glasses it's hard to see.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Doesn't save your progress properly

The game is a good throwback, but it looks like you'll have to play all the way to the end in one go. I've paused the game several times using the save option, but this rarely happens and my name disappears. The save function must work and save at least one game progress! Big miss of this functionality.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons

upset. in Games & Accessories

I was so excited about this game. It brought back a lot of old memories for me. Then the disappointment began. Witnesses give me clues I can't use to get a search warrant. If I don't get a warrant, I can't arrest a suspect. There is no way to classify products into the crime category. I'm frustrated and if I can't find anything online that helps me, I'll post it back.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Some issues

Classic Fun Best in Games & Accessories

This is the same game I played on my PC in the mid 90's and now on my PDA. You can profile multiple users to play separately and keep track of their detective stats, which is great fun. It's educational and my ten year old loves it, although it struggles with a few clues. It's a puzzle/detective game, so it doesn't need flashy graphics at the moment, but if that's what you're looking for, you won't get it here. Great value for money.

Pros
  • Entertaining
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Nostalgia takes me away!

I honestly never thought that I could play the classic game Where on Earth is Carmen San Diego on old Apple computers and from a floppy disk. This is exactly this game. I love it. The gameplay takes some getting used to, especially the controls, the sound quality is excellent and the volume is quite loud, there are three settings: off, quiet and loud. I use low volume as high volume. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

A blast from the past

Speaking of a blast from the past I just realized they made these things and when I found out about them I had to have it, it was one of my favorite games when I was a child. One of the first times I used a computer was at school and as far as I can remember the only game like this and the Oregon Trail was really good for everything so I guess school is all you learn know how to play video games. . lol but joking aside it's as good as I remember it being in the distant past

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Reliability

A good gift for those nostalgic about early computer games

The screen is very small and sometimes difficult to read. The game itself is faithful to the original Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego, making it a very good gift for someone known to be nostalgic for old games from the Amiga and Atari era. I wish the screen was bigger but for the price you really can't ask for much more than what you get. As a plus, they've added a sound button with mute, medium, and high settings, which is great because in high volume mode, it can disturb someone closeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • No power

A fantastic blast from the past repackaged for today's youth

Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. As a kid I loved playing Carmen Sandiego games on my old computer. I bought this for my 13 year old as a little Christmas present, half expecting that he might take a quick look and not play with it again (while I solve the puzzles by myself after sleep). To my surprise, he loves it. Caution: You will soon discover the inadequacies of geography classes in a public school. SON: Dad, where is the Taj Mahal? Me: Well, it's an Indian mausoleum. what isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable test results

  • flimsy
