Easy to install and we had the option of no ventilation.

Easy to install and we were given the choice of no vent or vent by simply adjusting what we removed from the hood. It works very well. They also did a good job of explaining the choice between vented and non-vented filters and which filters to purchase to complete the system.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Can be great but poor design

My item arrived damaged which I don't normally discount as anything can happen but the sheet metal on this item is quite thin. The buttons also "dangle" to the point where it looks like they could easily be permanently inserted into the device. For the price I was expecting something more durable. Once installed it looks great and the LEDs are great.

Sleek and efficient, but touch-button controls can be unreliable.

I've had the fan for about eight months now. It looks very nice and is easy to put on. Lighting is good, suction power in 2nd and 3rd gear is good. However, the fan suction speed button has stopped working for a few months. Now it is difficult to choose the speed and often only drives at maximum speed, which is quite noisy. I'll be contacting Broan today about an issue.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Works well and the price is right

I replaced a 25 year old cooker hood I already had electrical wiring and air ducts. Assembly is best done with two people, but it's not difficult. If you are using an existing duct, pre-purchase the duct extender and it will be up and running within an hour. It has excellent suction power and a bright LED light. Some reviews state that the power and backlight buttons don't work or don't work. It's more of a touch button, like a touch screen. The problem I think others have is that they press…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great suction power! Great light! Worth every dollar!

The only minus of the installation is the instructions. Very bad, with small drawings. It is very easy to install. Special features: 2 stage lamps are very bright and sufficient for cooking. The three speed fan is really good. Barely audible at level 1. Level 2 is still not very loud. Level 3 Noticeable but not too loud. Definitely no louder than a microwave fan! But it works a thousand times better. Watch the video to know the suction and noise levels, as well as the lighting. (We're…

Smooth, shiny, well made, beautiful thing!

It fits so well and exceeded our expectations for light brightness, fan speed and smoothness. Two giant charcoal filters are a must if you don't have air ducts in your kitchen like I do. I have an old house that has never been updated with air ducts in the kitchen. My only criticism is that the activated carbon filters absolutely have to be ordered separately and you also have to have a plug or wiring harness with a plug. This doesn't happen. But the great thing about Revain is that they…

Pros
  • Still satisfied

  • Crumpled packaging

Easy to install

I've had the hood for about a month now. It was easy to install and fit my space perfectly. I replaced the microwave with convection, so just about anything would be better. The light is very bright, didn't know what's cooking in the dark. I would recommend getting a Broan "quiet" baffle. Even though it's plain instead, I can hear it close up, but that suits me. I don't think the lowest fan setting does anything to remove heat and odors. , I find that the middle and highest work well. The…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

I bought these to replace an existing Broan range hood in our kitchen when we were updating our cabinets. It was the same height and width as the previous hood, with the same ducts, so it looked like it could be easily replaced. I did the installation myself, it wasn't very difficult, but it wasn't trivial either. My previous hood was installed with a 3.25 x 10 rear rectangular duct. For this to work, the air ducts in the wall and the back of the hood must match to within 1/4 inch. In my case…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
