I LOVE these sketchbooks!

I have nothing bad to say about these sketchbooks. So far they are my favourites. I like heavy paper and the fact that it's jagged on one side and smoother on the other (I actually use the back of paper for pigment liners and crayons - it's perfect). I also love the square format more than any other size. The paper is nice and light but not flashy white, it is spiral bound, heavy and strong, and both covers are thick and strong. 6x6 seems like the perfect size for what I do (Zentangle inspired…

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Really nice sketchbook, worth the price if you draw a lot

I bought this album because my friend had one and it seemed very good, he draws in it every day. Usually new sketchbooks aren't anything to write home about, but there's something about it that feels really premium. The thickness of the paper is perfect and my Tombow and Tul pencils lay down like butter. They can also be easily deleted from this interface. It has a bit more teeth than most sketchbooks I've tried which is great, it allows for darker values than I could get in my old sketchbooks.

Best Sketch Pad

The Bee Paper Company has created a great sketch pad. I tried them all and this is my panel. I have the "Super Deluxe Mixed Media" 9X12 inch version. It has everything you will ever need: very thick, two surfaces - left side is smooth, right side is slightly rough (when fully opened on two sides), sheets are perforated along the 12" side, which is the side of is the wire ring, lies flat except in all environments - wet or dry. I have been using the 6" x 9" version of this product for several…

The best multimedia sketchbook. I've been using them since 1984.

The best multimedia album for drawing. I've been using it since 1984 and it always works great. Canson Mix Media XL is pathetic, a real killer by comparison. Strathmore's mixed-media visual magazine, while good, only has half the pages for the same price. I've used charcoal, pen and ink, and watercolor and they all work well. As with any sketchbook, the use of watercolor is somewhat limited. You cannot effectively use wet-on-wet or layered glazing techniques that are too wet. Use Arches…

Well done but not quite true

I use these to stamp a gallery note which is then glued to the back of the artwork. The paper is thick enough to withstand heavy stamping without showing through on the other side. The book fits easily in a back pocket and the back cover is quite sturdy. I also like that it has 60 pages compared to the 24 the other brand offers. However, my stamp is 4x2 and I was expecting two stamps/forms per side. However, they consider the perforated part to be a 4x6, so the usable area is significantly…

My new favorite sketchbook.

Let me start by saying that while I have a ridiculous amount of sketchbooks for all brands, I am a die-hard Strathmore Stan. In fact, this is the first time I've bought a Bee Paper sketchbook. Heard good reviews and decided to give it a try for the Inktober and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Starting with an impressively thick and hard cover, this piece screams quality from the start. There's a lot of paper here, two different textures, and it's acid-free—a great deal for the price. The…

Pros
  • Super Deluxe Sketchbook
Cons
  • Dear

The reason I'm giving this Super Deluxe Album four stars isn't because I don't like it because of the paper This is a lightweight one , dimensional drawing paper. From several reviews I have the impression that the paper in this book is suitable for watercolor, but it is not. The pages are white, bright and SUPER durable. They can withstand up to a ton of water. I literally dunked the entire front in puddles of water, and while there was *slight* warping, it didn't bleed onto the back of the…

The paper is great (haven't tried the watercolor

Although I'm still using my first of these sketchbooks, I've just ordered a third because I want to stock up for the future. This is my favorite -Sketchbook, a planner, a list holder, a notepad, a dream journal.. I've been crazy about using different journals for all these things. The paper is great (haven't tried watercolors yet, mostly felt tip pens, colored pencils) and I like the big strong spirals and nice thick covers The size is perfect for my purposes, fits well in my purse I'm easily…
