Works very well with audio and video accessories

I have bought cartridges from 4 different styles and brands, this cartridge has the shortest cable. But only he worked. And I had a solid range for my underpowered setup. Price 9/10

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative experience

Not bad for $20

It picks up signals perfectly, the magnet(s) hold perfectly, you can't be afraid to detach from the car. Gave 4 stars, would give 5 if the coaxial cable was a bit longer. Big plus + it comes with pl259 for sma so you can use it for both cellular and HT radio.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Poor quality, doesn't work

I tested this antenna with a Midland MXT275 and it didn't work at all. On closer inspection I noticed that the solder connecting the antenna to the antenna cable was broken and it looked very poorly made (see attached photo).

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Some minor issues

The product does not correspond to the description. The package was opened before receipt, a return is possible. The base is 3mm, in the description 7mm, there are no adapters and documentation in the box - see photo. Return for exchange for the correct item.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons

So far so good - radio antennas

I was worried the magnet wasn't strong enough but it holds up well at 80mph. Even hung up when the antenna got stuck on a plastic bag at 75mph. My only complaint and the reason I dropped the star was the short cord. Antenna and radio placement was severely limited on my 2008 Honda Pilot SUV due to a short cable.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Better than expected!

I was impressed by this little antenna. I was expecting a bit more, but this thing exceeded all expectations. Stays on top of the truck at 80+ Doesn't move. And the important part. Field-tested people report clear transmission. No noise where they used to be. When testing the SWR, it is around 146 in the lower range at 1 x 2 meters and around 444 at exactly 1 x 70 cm.

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Big and chunky

The length of the coaxial cable is too short.

The antenna is worth the money. The signal is good. The length of the coaxial cable is too short. It's about 8 feet. I need to add a splitter and more coax to hide it in my Chevy Avalanche 05. Right now, when it's mounted in the middle of the roof, it kicks in the back door and grabs my center console. If the coax was extended to 15 feet, all 5 would be.

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • old

Doubled the range of the phone in some directions

I was very impressed with being able to connect this antenna to my 8W UV-9R Plus instead of the standard one while driving around town. From here it goes up and down the hill in every direction. My first test with a standard antenna and two 8W radios showed possible standard distances. I was lucky and kept one radio for myself and gave the rest away for Christmas. After I bought the 5W UV-9R Mate, my second test was with this antenna, on the 8W radio, in my car and the 5W version at home. In…
