Description of ๐Ÿ’ก BINZET DC Converter Step Down Regulator: 5V 3A Power Supply Transformer

Convert unstable 8V-40V DC power supply into stable 5V 3A DC power output. Over-voltage, over current, over temperature, short circuit auto protection, and can return to normal conditions in the work. Essential for car audio system or other 5V car products (particularly useful in vehicles with 24V power supply). Input voltage: 12/24V (8V-40V),Output: 5V/3A. This Voltage regulator widely used in automotive, surveillance systems, railway signals, medical equipment, instruments and meters, LED products, LED strips, cable TV and other low power test systems.

Solid 12V to 5V: Power Converter

I'm using this for a small robotics project where I have a 12V battery for the motors but need 5V for the controllers/Raspberry PI. It worked great.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Hard to say

Ideal for RVs while driving or parking.

Very practical. I use it to power all my 5V devices in my RV from battery. I have both phones, a bus monitor, an HDMI splitter, a video converter, an 18" GPS and a 10" tablet at the same time, and I don't have all of the individual power supplies plugged into the cigarette lighter plugs. Much more careful, no rats.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Empty

Excellent power pack, cheap

Nice output adjustment, worked fine for my application. I would recommend individual downstream filtering (inductor and capacitor) if you are powering multiple devices, one or more of which is logical and another is noisy, like servos etc. But I recommend this for ANY power supply, so here's what: ) BTW, I *I have no idea* why Revane asked me to rate this stock's "warmth, transparency, and thickness". Just some things don't count lol

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some small things

Seems to deliver as advertised.

Connected to a 0.5 ohm power resistor. As it turns out, you need to make sure you're using thick enough wire and strong connections to drive a 10 amp load. On the first try I only measured 3.5 volts at the load, but at the converter I measured 5 volts, which means I only lost 1.5 volts through bad contacts. After increasing the size of the wires and improving the terminals and connections, the converter now supplies 5 volts to the load resistor, that is, it supplies 10 amperes.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Modern

It just works and does it very well. Response time is perfect!

Perfect match for my M38A1 Jeep. I use it to turn off 24v brake lights and turn on LED strips for extra safety. The standard army-issued brake lights aren't as flashy and with that extra power they give you an extra margin of safety. I just unplugged the 24V power wire from the left rear light and connected it to this power source. I then hooked up additional LED lights and Wallah, now I have additional brake lights on the back of my jeep and still have the originals. gotta love it!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Could not be better. Step-down converter from 24V to 12V.

The thing worked PERFECTLY. I use it as a step in my son's Peg Perego rzr which I upgraded to 24v. I needed this to go from 24 to 12 to power his accessories like lights and gauges that only require 12v with a separate voltage. Also, I falsely admit that I first put it in reverse and the thing smoked twice because its setup made it hard to tell which side was 12 and which was 24. But that's okay, because somehow this thing picked up that insult to a division. Second, it happened. That tells meโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Makes you happy
Cons
  • Repair

Good value - works well, can be operated below the nominal input voltage.

I tested this product on the stand to determine its characteristics. With a 12V input at a current draw of 3A and a power rating of 1.5A I get a load regulation of 3.6%. The voltage did not drop below 4.9 V, the device consumed more than 2.5 amperes. I was also able to draw 2 amps and keep the output voltage above 4.9V with an input voltage of 6 to 24V. During peak and over current, the regulator stayed cool. I bought it to power my Ooma Telo with a 12V backup battery which is necessary to keep

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Very handy: power supply accessory

This 24V to 12V converter is perfect for connecting multiple 12V LEDs to your Razor Pocket Mod. Instead of grounding the lamps between two batteries and causing unbalanced load pickup, I was able to use the full 24 volt power supply. This ensures that both batteries will discharge the same way and prevents the light from becoming reverse biased when the power is off. All internal components are sealed and well protected from vibration and moisture. The output voltage remained stable at 11.8โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Died on first use. [UPDATED 12/12/2018]

I hooked this up to my house's 12v power supply to try as soon as I got it and it looked like it would work. The input was 12.37V and the output was 4.98V with no output load. But as soon as I hooked this up to my circuit and tried to test it with my load, it ran for about a minute and then shut off. The only good thing is that no matter what protection circuitry is in place, at least my raspberry pi didn't burn out. Some time ago I was contacted by a BINZET representative who offered to either

Pros
  • handy item
