Works as it should! - fuel

I like this sensor, it lights up at the right level of brightness. I installed on the secondary tank to monitor my fuel and am very happy with this sensor!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • silent

Installing is not easy, however.

There are good instructions to follow. I replaced the one that wasn't working properly so it was easy for me to install. If you understand the wiring there is no problem. But installation for the first time, a little more complex.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

looks good works well

looks good works well so far. Easy connection and installation. The directions were clear but the printout is a waste of good trees. The instructions cover the installation of each pressure gauge manufactured by Bosch. 1/2 page 8 refers to the fuel gauge.

Pros
  • impressive
Cons
  • almost never

Name Miss Leading in Electrical

Clearly stated incorrect resistance value 0-90 ohms is actually a lie. An empty fuel cell is read as full and a full as half. Title - Miss Presenter. Since I threw away the packaging a long time ago, I might just be wasting my money.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fits

Mine wasn't sealed, condensation is a big problem

I like that it was easy to install and worked well with minimal renovation costs. Ride inside the glass was covered with condensation. I'm going to buy a sealed pressure gauge from my local parts store.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Expensive

NOT 0-90 ohms for gauges

I ordered this gauge based on the name 0-90 ohms THIS IS NOT! after installing it in my 78 c10 and filling the tank dropped it from full to 1/2 tank. I went back to the details and realized they were the wrong ohms. Revain lists it as 0-90 but it's not, now I've spent $20 on a sensor that's useless to me.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons

In general the facility is bad.

Because this sensor only works with their sensor and their sensor is junk it won't fit in a standard tank (understood) I had a fuel cell that I wanted to fit anyway, the sensor didn't fit or read properly . Threw it in the trash and went to the autometer and the sender setup took half the time and actually read it right. Just my 2 cents.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Two in a row were denied within days.

Bought, installed according to the instructions. Worked for a few days then stopped working - gauge froze/stuck at about 1/4 tank. Contacted Bosch for a replacement as Revain was out of stock. A few weeks later a replacement arrived and I installed it. Exactly same problem happened - worked at first, then got stuck at about 1/4 tank value a few days later. I will order a Moeller instead - this one seems poorly made.

Pros
  • Sensors
Cons
  • There are problems

May or may not work.

I bought 3 Bosch pressure gauges for my truck and they worked fine, then I went with a fuel level sensor, I also bought the recommended transmission unit, the transmission unit was ok but the sensor didn't go over half rise, i returned it and they sent another one, it must have been from the same batch because it did the same thing, i bought a different brand sensor and used it with a bosch transmitter and it works great. Bosch are usually good, but in this case they had serious quality issues.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Update availability
