Excellent performance but a little tiring to wear for a long time.

I am a commercial pilot and use these Bose A20 headphones in the pilot's seat almost every day. They make it much easier to intercept and understand even fast air traffic control calls. The noise cancellation is excellent. My only complaint is that after 4 or 5 hours of flying they are still a little tiring to wear. I cannot give 5 stars due to comfort issues. They're expensive, but they were worth it. Keep in mind that unlike some competing Bluetooth headphones, they don't offer a fully…

Bulky and uncomfortable. Support not what before!

I am a pilot with the largest major airline in the world and so far this headset has not impressed me. Compared to a regular Bose Bluetooth headset, this headset is VERY LARGE, making it extremely uncomfortable. Head clip is the term that comes to mind. A regular 335 with a U-Fly Mike accessory is a much better choice; However, I also found that the UFQ L-2 headset is also a better choice (much cheaper and more reliable). Also I heard about Bose's excellent service, bought an extra guarantee on

A strange feeling of almost total silence in the cockpit.

I switched from a Telex 850 in the cockpit of a Boeing 737 to a Bose A20. I didn't get the instant satisfaction I was expecting because it took me a full day to get used to the incredibly strange and unfamiliar feeling of almost complete silence in the cockpit between radio transmissions. After making sure everything was fine. Marvelous. I underestimated the importance of not missing/understanding the radio and intercom. Being able to clearly hear and understand ATC and the other pilot greatly…

Look - just a good product that doesn't give up

I'm an airline pilot and needed a reliable headset. I've tried them before now when I flew small planes and liked them at the time, but I had a pair of David Clarks. I know DC makes noise canceling models and I know that some others here have commented on them. But just from my personal experience, you get what you pay for with these Bose headsets. I've been flying my standard DCs for a few months, but with passengers and ground crew getting on and off the plane and you're trying to get ATIS…

This headset deserves its excellent reputation.

I use this headset 4-5 days a week training on various Cessna 172's and I am VERY happy with it. It's comfortable and lightweight - of course I can't promise it will be comfortable for YOUR head shape. Obviously the headset turns on after starting the engine (per my checklist!), and I'm impressed every time I turn on my A20; The loud propeller is off and I can hear ATC and my CFI perfectly. When climbing upwind I sometimes see my CFI pressing his headset (not the Bose A20) to my ears to hear…

Amazing Active Noise Canceller

Review Update June 9th 2021 I never cease to be amazed at how well the ambient noise cancellation works on this headset. It amazes me that hitting the power button on a Bose would just kill the engine noise on the Aeronca Champ I fly. Wonderful. The headset is so comfortable for me that I don't notice it during a 1 hour flight. Originally reviewed April 29, 2021 I took flight lessons on the Aeronca Champ which not only has a loud motor but also a sliding window. I like being a little open which

One of the Best Aviation Headsets

It was time to replace my 20 year old David Clark headset and I was torn between DC ONE X or Bose A20. I've been a loyal DC customer for a long time and their products have never let me down, plus DC is about 25% cheaper. But I've also flown with Bose and they've always impressed me with the amazing Bose noise cancellation. As I ended up needing a couple of headsets I bought one of each - and so far I have not regretted any purchases. If you are in this position too, I thought I would offer a…
