Waste of time and money

Thing sucks I'm 3rd in 6 months. The first worked fine for about a month, then it cooled down and stopped working. I wasn't too upset because it was -20 outside so I kept it but replaced it in the spring and it started flickering after two weeks. when they all finally stopped working together. One day it will work if it wants, don't buy if its worth your money, I can't switch to another camera because I have to reassemble the whole system, so be aware I'm paying for the third one must buy…

Pros
  • Decent performance

Works perfectly! on car rear view cameras

Great product! Video quality is good. It still worked great after the blizzard, so it's definitely waterproof. I ended up having to buy an extra video cable because the cable that came with it wasn't long enough to reach the stereo from the camera. You must ground the black wire that comes with this product. This camera took about 4 hours to install considering I had to buy more wires and cables. I put a camera on the underside of my license plate so it doesn't cover my badges. You can adjust…

  • Stylish and modern design

Pretty good for car safety

Not bad for the BOSS sound, they make good radios and amps so I don't see why I wouldn't buy their backup camera for only $15. It was pretty good when installed but you need to run another cable along with RCA for the camera to be powered from the accessory. Every car is different, but it was easy for my 2008 Toyota Corolla. No drilling required, route data and power line through license plate light. Not bad for the price, although I'd prefer the wireless camera option over the wired one next…

Only works sometimes

This camera only works well sometimes (maybe 10% of the time) and never well. I will buy another camera from another seller. As far as I can tell, the Boss doesn't have night vision and uses backup lights to illuminate the rear view at night. This works with the best optics, but the optics in this device are limited at best. Just a little better in daylight. I had to purchase longer cables to install in my pickup truck (2010 Ford F250) as the ones that came with the unit were about a meter…

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Some little things

The bracket is metal (not plastic like others) and looks very solid

The camera is a bit small, nothing special but the overall quality seems very high compared to others I saw it and ordered another one (and sent it back because of the flimsy plastic clasp). Bracket for it, all external assemblies are metal. Probably die-cast zinc, but less prone to breakage than the brittle plastic (more expensive!) others I've looked at. Happy with the purchase, there is no night vision and it's a little blurry but it does the job and clearly finds the zombies you definitely…

The worst reversing camera!

Easy to install but the image is very stretched. It also distorts when I backup at night. My reversing lights are too bright for it making it useless. Too bad the picture wasn't that wide. Update: I've added photos to show the stretch marks in the frame. I also developed lines in the video that the camera failed to capture in the photo. In the first photo - a brightly lit parking lot, in the second - a dark entrance. I wouldn't rely on this camera for a safe backup at all. I also started…
