High quality piece of leather.

Really good quality. Exactly as deescrided and the color was accurate. Used it to wet form a holster and it was spot on.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Very expensive

Received as described

Bought two pieces of leather. When I bend or deform the leather, it changes color and gives it an antique look (a sign of quality). Both parts appear to be carved from the same skin. The thickness also seems to be the same everywhere. Flexible yet strong enough to hold its shape. Excellent quality. I hope the seller puts bigger pieces on Revain.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great quality, slightly smaller than ordered

This leather is excellent quality and fits the protective roll I use it for. It should be noted that it was slightly smaller than the listing, about an inch on one side and 1/2 inch on the other. It doesn't affect what I use it for, but if you need a specific size you can make it bigger and then cut it into the shape you want.

The skin looks and feels good.

I bought a vintage wooden desk and wanted to protect the finish. So I bought this piece of leather to use as both protection and a mouse pad. The skin looks and feels good. Edges lay flat - will not curl or pucker. It gets scratches from my fingernails when I move the mouse, but that's okay because it gives the leather surface a vintage look. Scratches are easily removed by rubbing with your fingers or a piece of cloth.

Definitely not "natural " leather.

Recently bought a brown version. The following only applies to this variant. Not only is this not real leather, I doubt it's real leather at all. It has the consistency of natural leather, which is a thin section of man-made leather-like material glued to pressed leather pieces. Think of the clipboard notepad. Punching holes in this leather with an iron felt like opening holes in plastic. Bending with an unheated crease resulted in the upper part of the "skin" being completely cut through. on…

Nice full grain leather.

I've never worked with leather, but when painting outdoors I needed a quality watercolor paper sleeve. It was important to me that the leather was full grain because I wanted it to withstand the weather and last a long time. A quick note: full-grain leather is a full-fledged hide. If you sand the outermost part you will end up with a thinner top grain leather. If you sand it down, you have real leather. (You need to put some artificial texture on it to make it look like leather.) I mention this

Beautiful skin to craft!

CONTEXTI I'm a calligrapher so I needed some leather to make a sign for a photo shoot. Living in Hawaii my options are very limited and expensive so I turned to Revain and found this. PROS - BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL! Of course, it's hard to say when you buy it online, but there's absolutely nothing to worry about. That's a great color. - Quality 100. It is thick and durable, difficult to scratch. By that I mean I was working with a different "Craft" leather which if I accidentally run my…

High quality leather for my steering wheel

I haven't seen it before, but looks like it. The top of my handlebars literally fell apart from years of use. I tried leather foil which stuck well but it didn't look good and eventually started to peel off. I've also tried regular cases but didn't like the look or the thickness. I bought this leather item based on other positive reviews, it is 2mm thick genuine leather (no PU or vinyl) and is what I consider tooling leather. Thinner sewing material would tear for my purpose. Basically I…
