I have been using Brita mugs for many years but this one has really let me down. The pouring spout fell off and when left standing it didn't pour properly! Brita's customer service was very good and I got my money back quickly.

The blue color is great - my previous one was red. This Brita filter model is just right for our home as we make a lot of coffee. It is also easy to handle when filled. The lid holds well and is easy to pour out. It's easy to pour water in and replace the filter.

The Brita water jug is attractive. Water definitely tastes better out of a Brita mug. My only issue with this jug, and not a major one, is that the lid, which is supposed to pop open when pouring, doesn't always open and water spills. To compensate, I turn the lid upside down before pouring and it pops open on its own. This is a small problem that not every pitcher can have.

1-16-21 I expected the lid to be tight - I was wrong! When I first tried to pour from it, the lid fell off and the flipper tab broke (see sealed flipper above). Holding the lid with your free hand while pouring should work pretty well. It's a shame about Brita that she didn't explain this in the instructions. 01/18/21 No more Mister Nice Guy! It has a small jug, so you need to charge it at least 3 times. The second time, since the water level has already reached the filter, the filling becomes very slow and you cannot water while filtering, the still unfiltered water pushes out the cap and there is a mess. The lid seems too loose and you always have to hold it with the other hand. The design is bad. I wouldn't buy it again.

This jug fell apart in a few months. First the filter change indicator stopped working, then the plastic cover over the spout broke off. Recently, the whole lid falls off every time you pour water. It does not stay locked to the pitcher. When you go to pour water, it falls and all the water is poured out. I would have sent it back but it's been a few months and I don't feel like messing with it. What a disappointment.
