This is a wide adapter made by Lee :)

I have a genuine 82mm wide adapter made by Lee. At first I was a bit reluctant to buy this adapter as it wasn't a Lee. But when I went for it, it said Lee Adapter on the cap and it looked exactly like the Lee Foundation's original 82mm filter. Buy with complete confidence. This is a 82mm wide angle adapter, not a regular 82mm adapter. Tested with Canon 16-35mm II and Canon 24 TS-E, perfect alignment and very low vignetting for TS-E at full 12mm offset.

Works great on my 17-40mm FF

Bought this Century Optics 77mm wide angle adapter for the Lee filter system after hearing it was the same as the Lee filters. I can confirm it works great with my Lee Foundation Kit and comes in Lee branded packaging. I also wanted to add that at 17mm on a full frame in 35mm format (17-40L on 5D) there is no vignetting at all. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, it's a wide angle adapter and it works great.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Works great - I bought this to use with a Canon 17-40mm f/4L lens (at full frame) and it doesn't disappoint. Or get rid of all the vignetting at 17mm. I'm not exactly sure because I usually use a polarizer behind the big stopper to get rid of the blue cast from the big stopper. There is hardly any vignetting even with this setting. With no filter on the back, I'm pretty sure there's no vignetting at 17mm. If I remember correctly, with a 24mm lens on a full frame body, this accessory was not…

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Style 90

This is Lee's 82mm WA adapter

I don't usually write reviews but I had to check with another reviewer who gave this one a 1 star. I almost didn't order it because of this review, but since Revain and Adorama have good return policies, I gave it a try anyway. Most Lee adapters, basic kits, etc. are not available. BUT it is a wide angle adapter from Lee. Lee brand box and adapter. No vignetting on Canon 16-35 or 24TSE with full shift. I read somewhere that Century just renamed things Lee. I believe it's true. I don't know why…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Long wait

Just screw it in well. But it can get stuck in your UV filter.

This is a key part of the Lee system and I'm lucky because my UV filter is threaded and this adapter screws in easily. If I had to remove my UV filter every time, aside from risking the lens, it would add much more complex steps to the process and this expensive system wouldn't be all that useful. So if you make that investment I would say invest in a threaded UV filter as well and enjoy the Lee system! Doesn't matter! However, the downside is that if you want to remove a thin UV filter to…

  • Cool product
