Was it old paint?

I knew this paint would be thick but it wasn't. Difficult to use. I added water as suggested. I had to keep refilling water. What a mess it was. I ordered the 2 bottle. This second bottle was completely different. Easy to use. Water for dilution is not required. Chalk paint is expensive. I hated that I lost money on the first product. I ended up using all but a quarter of the first bottle. 2nd bottle maybe a cup.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Despicable! Waste of money and purchase "Money back! "

A picture says more than a thousand words. Aside from RETURN, the only other word to describe this product and the lame quality control that is responsible for making it possible to ship to consumers despite the need for a job or hobby. even a gift would go well with a second word to describe it: brutal! None of the stars matched but placed one to make this important fact.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Without automatic

Good product - great paint for furniture

Dries very quickly which is good for projects but can waste unused paint if not applied as soon as possible. Would give 5 stars but d/t cost and loss of color if I'm not moving fast I'll choose 4 stars. Don't get me wrong I will be using this brand again and now I know how to use it properly to avoid waste. Requires multiple coats for good coverage. The color is AMAZING. Even my husband loves it which is quite an achievement.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Disappointed with furniture color

I am painting a small desk for my daughter to use as a dressing table. Two coats of paint came off last weekend with no problems. I let it dry for a week and came back today to add some stencils. The paint only came off after I measured the position of the stencil with a ruler and placed the bowl on the table. I've done all the necessary prep work on the table, cleaned, sanded, etc., but the paint just doesn't seem to stick. I will probably not buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other colors

Used chalk chicks to paint bathroom tiles!

I used Chalky Chicks Gun Metal Gray as a base color for a tiled floor in a small bathroom. This was the first project to use the idea of stenciling tiles. I have to say the finished product is fantastic and I really loved the color! So much so that I used it again to repaint the cabinets in the next bathroom! Chalky Chicks is running smoothly. This is typical chalk paint in the sense that it can get thick very quickly, but squirting with a little water thins it out so it doesn't stick together.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Requires electrical outlet

Ease of Use Best Special Color

I love this color! I bought several colors for different projects. And I love all colors, DC Blue, Snow and Stormy Seas. I'm new to painting but I've got a new addiction! I find this color very easy to use. I'm using Snow, which is really white, on a black and tan table. 2 coats gave me great coverage but I added a third coat on top of my table. I'm still working on finishing my 2 projects. But I really enjoyed this process. And the icing on the cake, when I called with questions, one of the…

Great colour, best in Paint & Primer

This is my first time using chalk paint. I was looking for dark blue/dark blue and found it here. The paint was delivered very quickly and in excellent quality. It was easy to use and dried quickly. Will definitely be chalking and using this stamp in the future! DC Blue is a little hard to describe. In shady places it looks more like slate or dark blue. When the sun is shining, it's more or less royal blue, like the outdoor chairs in the company photos. When making your purchase, just think…

Great colour!: Furniture paint

Super easy to use. Additional water is not required. Excellent coverage. MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE THE COLOR. I've moved too. Excellent paint. 2 coats of paint on a formerly antique entry table, painted with white chalk and waxed. If you want to soften the blue, use a dark gray wash and/or black wax. I used both to add volume (I also happened to dry the lighter blue chalk paint before applying the gray and black wax - make sure to clean the wax BEFORE adding the black wax). If you want a stronger…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No effect

Other chalk paint

I have doubts about this brand of chalk paint. I've used many different brands of chalk paint, from expensive to homemade. I was excited to try this because the description said it could be used in an airbrush. The opacity was great, but still too thick, jar-like for my airbrush. It has a latex quality that other chalk paints don't have and I decided I liked the finish. I've had a terrible time getting or flattening brush strokes for a smooth finish. It could have been paint or it could have…
