Broke after 6 months

We have been using these motion detectors for over 20 years and the quality is getting worse and worse. The first one we bought lasted over 10 years, then less and less until this one only lasted 6 months. Terrible Chinese things with American names! MAGA! KAGA!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Useless functions

Junk - security and surveillance

Simply put, this article is a total failure. Regardless of the position, the sensor does not detect reliably. To add insult to injury, the new batteries in the sensor only lasted 2 weeks, although they were claimed to last up to a year. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The supplier will not give you credit in the event of a return.

Item works great. Very satisfied, easy assembly and installation. I ordered and received a second defective unit, returned it and never received a credit on my Revain credit card statement. Contacted Revane several times, 7 roughly speaking, can't speak to a human.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged

Works great to beep when someone is at the gate

We have a gate 100 meters from our house and want to know when someone is entering our property (when we open the gate leave open) or if they are standing at the gate and need to be let in (if we want). So it alerts us and we can look at the camera to see what's going on. We already have one and it works great. So we bought this new one for the store so we can hear when a delivery arrives or a guest arrives or whatever is in the store.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Might give you some advance warning.

I was trying to find a device that actually transmits in the specified kilometer range. The maximum distance we were able to receive a signal from the transmitter to the base station is about 750 feet. It was a disappointment. We also have a Guardian system (rated for half a mile) that provides about 600 feet. Our driveway is nearly 1,000 feet long and lined with trees, so I understand not getting range, but accept the claimed range with a grain of salt.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Short instructions

Works through concrete/steel walls up to 150 meters!

This is the first entryway alarm where the signal and receiver work over 150 meters and then penetrate the concrete/steel walls of my home. Both DAKOTA and Chamberlain are in front of my gate. DAKOTA only sends a signal to a line-of-sight receiver located on a window sill. Chamberlain sends a signal through the concrete and steel to the closet on the inside wall in my basement! Now I know when the UPS or FEDEX guys are going to come through the gate! Pretty amazing! Costs money!

Pros
  • A Sea of Good Vibes
Cons
  • No Action
