My 6 month old loves them!

My 6 month old loves using this spoon. She likes to feed herself and is quite successful at it. The puree stays on the spoon no matter how she holds it. The handle is perfect for their small hands. They are easy to clean. We love these spoons so much we bought more.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Lots of things

Great for BLW and feeding babies

My 7 month old loves this! So much so that we bought a second set. I can mash the puree in a spoon and most of it stays in and most of it goes in your mouth. My only complaint is that after a month they start changing color (the blue spoon is now green). Old spoons on the right.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Not all fit

Ideal spoon for beginners

These are great spoons. I work with children with nutritional issues; and every child I introduced with this spoon this school year is now feeding themselves! I love that they are flexible and "non-interference" - food sticks to the ridges inside and is an instant reinforcement for toddlers to hold on to. If the child still turns the spoon upside down before putting it in their mouth, that works too. Can't recommend her enough!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Beware of flying food!

While this is a great concept, moms and dads should be wary of flying particles of food, which will hit you if you're sitting right in front of your baby. I think I ate more of his food than actually went into his mouth! Because the tip is so flexible, saliva and food particles are expelled at excessive speed as soon as they leave the mouth. We will continue to use them for now as they have a built in teether. A bit pricey for how small they really are.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Quality

Flexible and child-friendly!

Flexible and comfortable for babies. These starter spoons are great! The baby always grabs a spoon and tries to eat himself when we feed him. These spoons are very comfortable for her to hold, they are soft and flexible, they hold pureed food (no matter how she holds the spoon). We also bought "Freshmen - First Tablespoons" (pictured with these spoons). These spoons are more flexible and easier for the child to hold. I highly recommend these spoons! Please note if my review was helpful to you…

Beware of unintended consequences

Ten stars. We used them to help my twins get used to using utensils, but they instantly became their favorite teethers/toys. We literally can't use them at the table because they'll go mad if we try to "pick them up" long enough to help them load a spoonful of food. I've never seen a kid so obsessed with anything in my life. On the plus side, your child will LOVE this and they will literally need hours of silence, but on the flip side, practice your Houdini skills to take their mind off them…

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Will be fulfilled

Suitable for pureed food

Ideal for little hands to hold and touch pureed food or yoghurt. Unfortunately I rarely use food of this consistency, we usually have a few small pieces that just slide off these spoons (e.g. oatmeal). I wish the handle was a bit longer, it seems our son would use it better if he was, but he prefers a long handled spoon. I still think they are good for helping a kid understand an idea. Spoon but for some reason my son prefers the 2 in 1 spoon even though we don't spoon feed him. Probably…

Pros
  • Brilliantly cooked
Cons

Not intended for older children

So I bought this for my 1 year old who is trying to eat from a spoon by himself. We've been using long Munchkin spoons and wanted to try something shorter. When I realized it was for mashed potatoes and he ate larger meals, I still wanted to try it. The puree still managed to drip. He scooped something up so it just dripped in every direction because there was no "bowl" to hold it. He was struggling to get some food on his spoon because he kept bending over. Because of the flexibility, he was…
