Essential tool for installing spark plugs and ignition tools

This is an essential tool for emergency travel kit or emergency bag. The uses are almost unlimited and the quality of the clip created is incredible. It's a bit pricey, but all good tools are like that.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Converts wire well into useful terminals.

I only gave 4 stars because it is very expensive. But it is well made and handles terminals of all types of wires very well. Made in the USA. A reminder of how cheap the Chinese-made things we buy are.

Very good tools: Spark plugs and ignition tools

We travel and hunt in many remote areas of the USA. Fix an unplanned problem with ClampTite. A leaking hose, a broken handle on a tool, a rattling heat shield on your exhaust system, or something else. All repairs are permanent, nothing else needs to be done! A very handy tool!

What size wire would you use for a garden hose for example

It would be helpful if they gave (suggestions) wire size for specific types of windings. For example, what gauge wire would you use for a garden hose? How many turns around the end of a garden hose would you use for 100 psi of water pressure? The wire I bought was too thick for my garden hose.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Love this item on Tools & Equipment

Love this item. It also takes some practice to work fast like a pro. I've made over 100 mounts with this thing. From hose clamps to fixing a fence to temporary motorcycle repairs and hanging a broken car exhaust pipe. It's expensive but what I wanted. I've tried making my own tools with mixed success. I finally broke down and just got it. It will definitely stay in my emergency tool kit along with the roll of safety wire.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Nice little tool - not cheap but not cheap

The Clamptite CLT01L is a good tool, well made in the USA. A little pricey for a small hand tool, but I'd probably charge you the same if you wanted me to do it for you. A cheaper model with some aluminum parts would have done the same for less money, but for me this model was worth the price for the quality materials. It takes a little finesse to master the technique, but it works well when used properly. Knowing how to use hand tools can pay off. At the end of my life I think I'll get my…

Expensive but works just as advertised. Worth the price.

Had been arguing for over a year but finally had enough of the clamps. Received it today and successfully fitted two clamps to my garden hose which got rid of the cuts on the clamps. Yes, it's expensive, but it works exactly as advertised. I made a slight bend on the ends of the wire up to the tubing to get rid of any unwanted points. I can run my hand right over the wire without seeing the end of the wire! I am very happy with Clamptite and really want to replace all my clamps except my car…

Pros
  • Good marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
