I bought this to connect my LD player to my new LED TV. (Yes, that's right - I still have a laserdisc player.) Needless to say, the result is pretty grainy, but it works, at least for now. I only connect video - audio still goes to the receiver.

I have a Sega Genesis mini console that surprisingly comes with RCA cables instead of HDMI. This adapter made the console work with a modern TV. It's hard to say if this device will affect the picture quality as the console's picture quality isn't the best anymore. I have no complaints and he does his job well.

When our TV broke we replaced it with a new one. None of the new TVs have RCA connectors, only HDMI. None of the older DVD/VCR players have HDMI connections. This cable allowed us to continue using our old DVD players and VCRs on our new TV. It worked great. Very little screen degradation and easy setup. Just make sure your new TV has a USB port to power the converter.

I was able to connect a VCR to the projector and it worked. The audio was a little reverberant at first, but midway through the movie the audio seemed to clear up a lot. The next day I plugged it back in and the sound was clear from the start. The image is wise; I am very happy. I think it all depends on where you look at the picture. Everything was fine from my projector, but everything was perfectly clear from my TV.

Great product for converting an old DVD/VCR player with no HDMI connection to a TV with no RCA jacks. I hooked this up and it worked great. We have two TVs and two old VCRs so I bought a second one for my second player after installing the first one. This makes it impossible to play our library of VHS tapes, which we probably won't be replacing. As mentioned in a previous comment, you need a USB port on your TV to power this adapter.

This item is ideal for playing VHS on a TV that only has HDMI inputs. DOES NOT PLAY ON COMPUTERS. I mistakenly thought it would be. I contacted a very good seller. He quickly responded by explaining that most HDMI ports on a PC are for output only, not input, and that the USB portion of that cable is for power only. He kindly offered me a refund. Thanks to him. Works very well as the picture is clear on my NES, PlayStation 2 and Super Nintendo mini but it keeps flickering. The game continues, but the screen goes black for 1-2 seconds every 4-7 minutes. Sometimes he does it a lot, sometimes not. The more motion there is on the screen, the more that happens, which sucks because I obviously need on-screen motion to play games. Nothing happens during the break. 2 stars, does not work properly.

I bought this product to connect my PS2 to my new HDMI only TV. It's nice to have all the necessary cables as part of the device. The only downside would be if there were problems in the future. You cannot change cables. It would also be nice if the USB and HDMI cables were on the same end so it dangles better from the back of the TV. I'm a little apprehensive when ordering cheap electronics from China because the rave reviews can't be trusted and there are so many people getting expired products (I got burned a few times).
