Perfect for the job

I have an '09 RAM 1500 4.7 that needs a skinny wall socket to remove spark plugs, that's exactly what I need. Good finish and holds the extension tight. Would highly recommend this if you're into crafts, yes, and the magnet made it easy to remove and attach to the forks.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great price for a good product!

This spark plug cartridge is thin walled making it more versatile and easier to use than some I've tried in the past. It also fits the fork snugly and keeps it in place during use. It's great value and good quality. Especially compared to buying one of the tool carts ($75).

  • New

Pack up your skinny girl (and do it neatly)

The most appropriate tool you need to remove spark plugs with those pesky heat shields that are impossible with oversized standard spark plug boots make. So you need a thin wall/deep well base to get her done. Expensive but much needed in a tool box.

  • A few competitors

It really works. - Spark Plug & Ignition Tools

Ideal for Dodge 4.7 narrow spark plug wells. I probably have seven different sockets, plus maybe four from my colleagues, and nothing fits. This one did, and the magnetic mount to keep the plug in is very good. It also fits the Ford 1.4 Turbo which also requires a very thin walled head.

  • One Year Trial

Ideal for changing the spark plugs on a 2nd generation 4.7 liter Durango

This tool arrived quickly and was well packaged. Photos and information are correct. What can I say. Great tool. Fits perfectly in the Durango 2nd generation 4.7 liter V8 engine. Holds spark plugs well. A strong magnet held the plug closed. A must if you plan to tune in. Happy with the purchase. It pays to have an extra cheddar in your toolbox.

Replace spark plugs RAM 2011!

I have a 2011 RAM 1500 4.7L Works great! I couldn't do the top and bottom benches until I got this. Regular sockets don't fit the spark plug tube, you need a "thin wall" socket and it worked. I also definitely recommend getting a set of outlet extenders and flexible connections. I have a set of Duratech extensions and connectors for 22pcs. Life is much easier for me.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Upgradeable

An indispensable thing for 2010 RAM 4.7

Bought to remove a cork in 10 RAM 4.7. It's the right size and shape to fit the deep holes in the top and bottom jars. I like the magnet that holds the connector. It is necessary for these engines. Few dollars but cheaper than the dealer. I had Bosch Iridium plugs at the bottom and Bosch Super at the top. They were delivered with this truck from the factory. perfect fit and perfect for interchangeable plugs. hope this helps you with your decision

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

A must have for Dodge owners with 4.7L V8 engines

I, like many others, have had trouble using other sockets to change the spark plugs in my 2009 Ram 1500 4.7L. It worked great, the magnet held the spark plug very well with no glitches. The thin wall worked as advertised, other thin walls weren't thin enough, but I had no issues with it. It's a 12-point head, but don't let that fool you, I had a spark plug that was overtightened to the breaking point. Just pump the spark plug back and forth until it comes loose. I was able to figure it out…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
