great cap, 2mm bigger.

This cap fits Honda/Acura brake fluid, baaaaaaarno. You really have to push. It's also hard to get off. Yes, it will seal well if you install it carefully without pinching the first or second o-ring. The cap diameter is larger by 1-2mm. It would work just as well if it were a little smaller. HEAR THIS CTA? Change it guys!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits the 2015 Honda Odyssey

For the curious like me, this really fits the 2015 Odyssey. Contrary to what CTA Tools emailed me I would need to purchase a $76 chrome metal adapter. Remove the reservoir cap and filter basket. The o-rings are tight so a little brake fluid on them and wiggling helps push them in and then twist to lock them in place. One star deducted only because I had to replace the air fitting.

  • best in its niche

Good brake adapter for my Honda Civic

This adapter works on my 2006 Honda Civic coupe. It fits snugly and holds the pressure. I have an ARES brake bleeder (70921) that I bought cheap on the bay. Depending on your brake bleeder device, you may need to adapt it to your fittings or hoses. It was easy for my setup. I had to unscrew the quick connector on the adapter that came with the ARES. I then removed the quick coupler from that adapter and screwed the quick coupler into the one that came with the ARES. It fits perfectly!

Works with my Motive Booster!

Got this for my 92 Honda Civic. I have a Motive Power Brake Bleeder, but with Motive you need to use a universal adapter on the Honda. It just doesn't seal well. So I figured I'd get that and adjust to my power bleed. I actually had an old universal adapter that snapped but the hose was still fine. I managed to fit this hose onto the fitting of this adapter. (Takes a lot of convincing. It's a very tight fit.) I then used a clip to hold it in place. This adapter fits directly into the Honda…

Works with some difficulty on a 2007 Honda Odyssey

This adapter will work on a 2007 Odyssey and probably all 2005-10 Odysseys. HOWEVER, this is a VERY STRONG CONNECTION, so you will need to firmly push the adapter into the master cylinder bore and secure the cover FIRMLY with the LOCKING PLIERS. If this is not done, the cap will break. After you've used it once, the o-rings will ONLY shrink enough to allow you to use it again with a little less effort. If the cap was JUST 1MM LESS it would be perfect. I would like them to revise their listing…

Barb Fit by another reviewer was a hit

Haven't tried it but would like to report that the 3/4 to 1/8 notches that one reviewer says are compatible with this adapter didn't work. I ordered a total of six fittings to try and none worked. One of the attempts almost cut through where the original silver socket could hardly be screwed back in. I just put the hose on the silver fitting and tried to tighten it. I will try to check for air leaks. Update 12/2/19 Have only tried the adapter with the silver socket that the adapter comes with…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Perfect fit for my 2014 Honda Accord and 2008 Honda Fit

This adapter is perfect for the brake fluid reservoir on my 2014 Honda Accord and 2008 Honda Fit and provides a good seal with two o-rings As mentioned in a previous comment , however it comes with a fairly large male quick connector which I removed and replaced with a 1/8 NPT M/F elbow and 1/8 NPT - 1/4 barb fitting. The threads on the original port appear to be 1/8 BSP parallel threads which are not compatible with a 1/8 NPT tapered thread. I used a 1/8 NPT faucet to open the threads in the…

CORRECTLY fits Acura MDX for use with Motive Bleeding

I purchased this adapter for use with Motive Bleeding on a 10 year old Acura MDX. The lid itself creates a pretty snug fit when needed. However, to lock it in place, you have to turn it halfway, press on the cap while supporting the brake reservoir, and then turn it all the way. Deleting is just the opposite. rotate, pull up, and then rotate fully. To get it working with my Motive Bleeder I didn't try to change the adapter on the lid. Instead I bought a 3/8 ID tube and placed it over the…

Perfect fit for Honda master cylinder reservoir

This product fits my 2017 Honda Civic Type R master cylinder like a glove. It took a trip to the hardware store to get the other end working with my Motive Bleeder. I kept the existing fitting as the threading is not MIP/FIP compliant. I simply attached 3/8 ID tubing to it, clamped it in place, and got a 3/8 to 1/4 MIP fitting to connect the other end of the vinyl tubing to the existing port on the bleed valve. I bled the brakes last night and everything worked like clockwork. Motive makes…
