Overpriced, low flow and doesn't work with DC backup batteries

This pump is really underpowered for the money. The much cheaper Quite One pump has a much higher actual flow rate. The thing hardly drips. The regulator knob is useless at such a low flow rate. It's supposed to be 1900 GPH but I seriously doubt it. I am using it in a 100 gallon reef tank with a 20 gallon sump and an actual flow rate of 1900 gallons per hour is adequate. It also doesn't detect when the water level is too low and turns itself off. In this price range it should be like that. On…

Very good pump

I bought this pump to replace a failed 18 year old Little Giant pump on my 150 gallon cichlid tank. The old pump sounded like a commercial chiller running in the basement. The eFlux pump is relatively easy to mount on my wet/dry filter and is very quiet. It makes a low hum, but after closing the closet door it's almost silent compared to my little giant. I have to constantly check the water flow to make sure it's still flowing. The only problem I have with the pump is a small leak in the…

Iwaki sounded like he belonged on a diesel freight train.

Replaced my 14 year old Iwaki MD40 (Japanese engine) and a different brand pump that fed my reactor and skimmer.1. This pump is QUIET! From day one, Iwaki sounded like it belonged on a diesel freight train. This pump only emits a low hum, and when the water flows through the overflows and sump, you don't even hear it. 2. I have an IC Marine lightbar and wave pumps so I added them to the network for feed mode. In feeding mode, the flow is reduced to 30% and the wave generators are stopped to…
