This pump is really underpowered for the money. The much cheaper Quite One pump has a much higher actual flow rate. The thing hardly drips. The regulator knob is useless at such a low flow rate. It's supposed to be 1900 GPH but I seriously doubt it. I am using it in a 100 gallon reef tank with a 20 gallon sump and an actual flow rate of 1900 gallons per hour is adequate. I bought this pump to replace a failed 18 year old Little Giant pump on my 150 gallon cichlid tank. The old pump sounded like a commercial chiller running in the basement. The eFlux pump is relatively easy to mount on my wet/dry filter and is very quiet. It makes a low hum, but after closing the closet door it's almost silent compared to my little giant.
