Kids have fun watching this plane

My girls love this plane! They love watching me fly my remote control helicopters and they don't understand that they need to be charged. So it was something they could watch and enjoy in their free time to recharge their batteries.

Pros
  • Solid workmanship
Cons
  • Some flaws

That does not work! on Aircraft kits

It does not fly in circles as advertised. It only rotates at the bottom and is really disappointing. Luckily my spouse is a pilot and knows a lot about the physics involved and was able to modify it to actually fly for a few minutes, but it's definitely very poorly made. I do not recommend!

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some bugs

Disappointed: flying toy

My kids had one of these ceiling airplanes when they were little and it flew really close to the ceiling and fast I didn't have to worry about kids jumping and get in the way of planes. It's like a full bomber cruising around like a tug. I think the plane has too heavy an engine

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Don't fly in circles.

Whatever you do, this plane will be dismantled to the point that it will only stand in one place (i.e. the bottom of the row) and slowly rotate vertically. You can launch it and it looks like it's flying, and then the trajectory deteriorates and it stops. I've had a lot of these types of toys over the years so I know how to work. This one, maybe my special case, just doesn't fly. Try another option.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Operating speed

Worked after about 30-40 tries :)

I tried to move the plane clockwise at least 30 times and when turning in the direction of rotation it made a clicking sound from the hinge attached to the thread. I was about to bring it back and then like a charm it flew in circles and then slowed down and tried again and stayed in circles. I think the hinge attached to the handlebar has a bit of an issue, but it eventually worked itself out. After that, me and my son had fun

Awesome novelty and gag toy airplane

My son loves it! A few tips for those having trouble: - Propeller turns right so the plane only works when turned left so it will roll right automatically - Throw it like a paper airplane - Use a good battery. I tried a cheap fake battery and for some reason the nose of the plane got heavier and it wouldn't fly. The propeller is made of flexible plastic. Try to keep the blades as straight as possible until the vibration/noise goes away.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Unreliable

Difficult to start, string is VERY long

Let's start with the string being too long. I trimmed it down a bit, and I'll admit it might be the cause of some of my other problems. However, this type of toy is more for decoration than toys that can be touched and played with. I got it working maybe twice. Usually when I start it and "launch" (i.e. throw) it, it just does a few circles, then it starts spinning on the rope until it backs up a few seconds and loses all momentum. When you run it, it tends to lose momentum as the battery dies,

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

My son loves this plane! It flies fantastic - you just have to press it at the right angle. If it starts to wobble in a curved arc, just grab it and slide it back. Once he flies in the right circle he does it himself. It flies fast and powerful and yes it takes all the space it says on the instructions three feet if I remember correctly. My son has a small room and a ceiling fan in the middle, so it took trial and error to find a suitable spot in the corner of the room. Well built and solid…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Clarity

Very good plane and excellent value for money!

A very well made, accurate model of the P-51 Mustang that looks great when zoomed in circle. When I found this I wanted to buy two for my grandson's bedroom but then found that the ceiling fans in their rooms left no room for them. So I bought one and hung it from the ceiling in my home office. I had some trouble finding the ability to do it right, but part of it was because I got it wrong to begin with. It only works one way I think due to engine torque, much like engine torque causes a real…

  • High marks for support and durability from testers
