Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

The wife is engaged in a photo and there was a question in the correct transfer of colors of brightness and contrast. So that when printing a photo and processing it, there are no wrong colors. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Pros
  • Quick calibration is running. About a couple of minutes and you're done.
Cons
  • Expensive, wish it was cheaper.

Tinted all yellow

I was waiting for the screen to be calibrated for photo editing (I'm using a laptop with Windows 10 for reference). Unfortunately, the SpyderX Pro tinted the screen MUCH warmer - the "white" it landed on was creamy and it darkened the screen, making it darker overall. I tried it a dozen times, with different settings, different lighting in different rooms, anything I could think of. Spent 3pm and all I got was a yellow screen.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Don't waste your money, bad product, terrible service.

The Datacolor Spyder X is one of the worst products I have ever bought! The software did not load. The device cannot be installed. Revain promptly provided a replacement, but the results remained the same. support is a joke. No 1-800 number, email only. Responses can take days. They requested screenshots and then repeatedly requested the same information as the screenshots. Now they don't respond to my emails. The problem is not solved.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • weak

Get DisplayCal! Don't take the elite!

Spyder software gave me a terrible calibration. However, I read the reviews and they said to get Displaycal which works great! The Elite version costs more because it has more software features. The hardware is the same. Given that the software is bullshit, I don't think it's worth it. I have the Elite, I can return it and get a cheaper one. I'm telling you, it's so nice to see a calibrated display. It's like putting on glasses and seeing clearly for the first time. I'm an artist and I'm always

Datacolor SpyderX Pro

Datacolor SpyderX Pro does not start after installation. The shipping box appeared to contain all items as described. However, when a measuring device was connected to the USB port, the software did not recognize the device. Tried three different USB ports, two active devices worked correctly. That led me to believe that the computer wasn't to blame. The first device was replaced with a spare device, the second device also failed with the same result. The second device was returned with a full…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Not sure

This is an addendum to a review I posted two hours ago. I found this with my Spyder X Elite. Basically, you need to determine the ideal white point using your computer's built-in display color control (it's the Display feature in your Mac's System Preferences), and your computer screen brightness should be set to maximum, just like your computer. Set the computer's default color. Then when you calibrate in the Spyder X, leave the White Point and Brightness controls on Don't Adjust, then…

Color matching error on identical monitors side by side

I bought this to calibrate and color match two identical ASUS monitors (same age, bought at the same time). After following the same procedure for both monitors, I tested accuracy by placing a Chrome browser window between them and looking for a gray tab bar. The monitor on the left had a green cast. So I repeated the calibration and got the same results. After emailing support I waited 24 hours and got a response. The tech suggested I turn on the RGB slider calibration feature and do a…

Inaccurate software, gross "calibrator "

I used SpyderX pro on my Lenovo P50 laptop with B156HAN04.5 display. bit awkward. Also note that as of February 2019, SpyderX is NOT compatible with open source calibration packages such as DisplayCal. I made 4 calibration attempts: The first attempt is too warm. The second attempt is too cold. Third try, recalibration, second calibration, others slightly better but still too cold. The fourth attempt included brightness settings, low, medium and high ICM files. My panel was tested with a laptop

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Well, as a photographer, most people call this a must, and I'm still nervous. I am a Macbook user and have an extra monitor that I use with my Macbook. I saw this on the internet. I was convinced I needed it to improve the quality of my photos when they came out of the computer, but there's more to think about.1. I've never had a color problem from the monitor to the print. Even now, after ridding my computer of all sets, I still have no problems. The colors on the monitor are still very…

Exactly, but for professionals because of the many possibilities

I used to have a Pantone Huey monitor calibrator that I've used for many, many years. When I bought a new computer, the software for my Huey was no longer supported, so I had to find a new way to calibrate my monitors. I'm an amateur photographer with no professional requirements, but I print often enough to find an advantage in a fully calibrated workflow. The device itself is small and appears to be well made. The USB cable length is ok, but I need an extra cable to extend it to two monitors.
