Description of ๐Ÿš— The Dirt Lock Car Wash Bucket Insert: Ultimate Solution for Cleaner Cars (Black)

Helps keep your car wash water extremely clean to reduce swirl marks and scratches. Flexible rubber locking tabs allow for a snug fit in nearly every 3 gallon, 4 gallon, 5 gallon, 6 gallon, 7 gallon and 8 gallon round wash buckets. Dirt Lock venturi filters and valves pump debris quickly to the bottom of the bucket to separate the dirt away from the clean water. Fresh water return system allows only cleaner water to pass above the screen. Powered by the pumping motion of your hand in the bucket, you can feel the suction pulling the debris from your mitt and down under the bucket.

The best anti-dirt bucket on the market!

I run a cell phone repair business and won't be fooled by any other "sandguard" business. Here is the real deal and all others are rubbish. I love this mud lock and will only recommend this product after using it based on all the others I have tried.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • obsolete model

Received with bent legs don't waste your time

After seeing a lot of feedback from people getting their shin pads bent legged I thought they had already sorted that out. So I bought it. Wow I got mine with 3 out of 4 bent legs on one of the guards as you can see in the photos. Don't waste your time and money on this.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Null

Great idea, need big legs.

This works fairly well for separating the dirt from the washer fluid, but it's very easy to squeeze the dirt back out. The problem is that the legs are so short that the dirt doesn't fall far enough to prevent it from mixing with the cleaning liquid. You really need to shim something for this to work.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Cracked Plastic: Update Part 2

Update: After I contacted them. I received a response that their product was indestructible and some must have cut it with industrial scissors. Yes. First of all, I am disabled and I don't want to destroy what was necessary. So no replacement and terrible customer service. Go and buy the chemicals, folks, sand protection, it's half the price. Possibly improved customer service too. Update 01/24/2021 After another conversation with the support. They replaced my product and it appears to be inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of Positive Vibes
Cons
  • Only Available in Black

Works well. Suitable for car care

This is my first and only sand guard so I have no comparison to it other than not using any guard at all. I've only used it once (in my dishwashing bucket) but it worked really well considering how much stuff was underneath when I took it out of the bucket after my new car's first wash. I appreciate the little finger slots in the middle of the casing because they were important when it came time to remove the casing from the bucket. I also really appreciate that they made it fit in the manyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Security

Floats on top of the bucket. 0/10

This thing likes to show up when I'm about to soak my glove. The 2 bucket method is outdated anyway and not 100% scratch proof. Use a bucket of soap and a mitten you used once to make it 100%. I recommend purchasing a pack of Cobra Shine & Buff No Water Wash Towel, 6 packs, and using the one bucket method. You have a bucket full of soapy water full of mittens or towels that are only used once without rinsing. Once you've used a towel, set it aside and grab a new one. Fold towels in quarters onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Modern

Definitely the best design!

These picks are best at keeping the sand on the bottom. The new updated design works great in my five gallon buckets and stays in place all the way to the bottom. I can still pull it up and down to flush out the bucket. Helps keep my new car scratch free. Watch the video to see how well they work. I like to use more water in my rinse bucket and take a few extra seconds to make sure the mitten is rinsed well before putting it back in my bucket. I bought three: red, blue and black to match myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Absolutely great! MUCH better than others.

Bought these and the Vortex Sandguard at the same time, returned them and bought more. They beat them in every way except price, but they're worth it. They're made of a much stronger and heavier plastic, have finger grips, taller feet and no flat surfaces that catch a bit of sand like the Vortex fenders. They go perfectly with my orange buckets from the big hardware stores and the side bumpers keep them down. does exactly what it's supposed to, not just what it's supposed to.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Crumpled

Goodbye Grit Guard

Let's face it, Grit Guard was first on the block but its design has never been improved. For this reason I bought two devices of the latest generation. (yellow) and two from the current generation. (Gold). I run a high end mobile detailing business 5-7 days a week. I see 3-5+ vehicles at a time and am currently using OP Eco Wash (formerly ONR) with BBS or BRS. I run a dirt lock in every bucket, why not? My first generation yellow Dirt Lock pops up from time to time, but I don't care. I slide it

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Frequency
