🚗 The Dirt Lock Car Wash Bucket Insert: Ultimate Solution for Cleaner Cars (Black) Review

I run a cell phone repair business and won't be fooled by any other "sandguard" business. Here is the real deal and all others are rubbish. I love this mud lock and will only recommend this product after using it based on all the others I have tried.

After seeing a lot of feedback from people getting their shin pads bent legged I thought they had already sorted that out. So I bought it. Wow I got mine with 3 out of 4 bent legs on one of the guards as you can see in the photos. Don't waste your time and money on this.

This works fairly well for separating the dirt from the washer fluid, but it's very easy to squeeze the dirt back out. The problem is that the legs are so short that the dirt doesn't fall far enough to prevent it from mixing with the cleaning liquid. You really need to shim something for this to work.

Update: After I contacted them. I received a response that their product was indestructible and some must have cut it with industrial scissors. Yes. First of all, I am disabled and I don't want to destroy what was necessary. So no replacement and terrible customer service. Go and buy the chemicals, folks, sand protection, it's half the price. This is my first and only sand guard so I have no comparison to it other than not using any guard at all. This thing likes to show up when I'm about to soak my glove. The 2 bucket method is outdated anyway and not 100% scratch proof. Use a bucket of soap and a mitten you used once to make it 100%. I recommend purchasing a pack of Cobra Shine & Buff No Water Wash Towel, 6 packs, and using the one bucket method. These picks are best at keeping the sand on the bottom. The new updated design works great in my five gallon buckets and stays in place all the way to the bottom. Bought these and the Vortex Sandguard at the same time, returned them and bought more. They beat them in every way except price, but they're worth it. They're made of a much stronger and heavier plastic, have finger grips, taller feet and no flat surfaces that catch a bit of sand like the Vortex fenders. They go perfectly with my orange buckets from the big hardware stores and the side bumpers keep them down. does exactly what it's supposed to, not just what it's supposed to.
