Great backpack fits backpacks

Bought for my 8 year old son. It suits him perfectly. It has multiple settings so it grows with you. I'm happy to take it with me on hikes.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No gun

Fantastic backpack in the luggage and gear category

Bought for my grand 8 year old. It suits him well on the smallest settings. He will definitely carry this backpack for a few more years. It has all the great features of a large backpack, just in a smaller size.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Great price

This backpack is great for younger kids

This is a quality backpack but too small for my 12 year old son. This set would be ideal for younger children. For a 12 year old I would recommend an adult package as he can grow into one. The shoulder straps are set as high as possible and the backpack barely fits him.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Crumpled Backpack

Amazing package. Best in Luggage & Travel Gear

This backpack is a real bargain. My child is 6 years old, average height/weight. This backpack fits him, but this year it's too heavy for him, so we're keeping it for next year (and all years to come). For a 5ft 4in woman, this backpack even fits my short torso. It's so easy to set up and feels great. Plenty of loops on the outside for poles, sleeping bag etc. This bag is well worth the price and I expect it to last many, many years and hopefully several children.

  • Rugged Construction

very good design. My wife and I had to leave.

Bought for my son for exploring. He is currently white and will hopefully join the Boy Scouts. Sturdy packaging and it fits him well, very good construction. My wife and I were due to go on different training trips the same weekend and I gave her my full size Kelty backpack and took that with us on the trip. I was able to fit all of my overnight gear in it, and the backpack was relatively comfortable for me. My son looks forward to using it on our upcoming summer hikes!

Capable but limited

Great little backpack. The shoulder strap/lift mechanism is very good. According to Deuter, it's meant for hiking, but even for overnight stays, space is a bit limited. Side pockets should be a little deeper. My son used it for two nights and there was only one sleeping bag in the package (bag 25*). Tying the sleeping bag on the outside would disturb the balance of the backpack. When the main compartment is full, the water has to drain into one of the small side pockets. At least there's roomโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Full functionality in a smaller size

As a small adult, I often find it a bargain to buy the kid's version of things. I tested this pack along with several other models and brands at a local store before purchasing it from Revain and was impressed that the manufacturer didn't skimp on features just because it's a 'kids version'. Plenty of storage space, thoughtful pocket placement, and overall organizational design. The height is adjustable for "growing children" but in the highest position it is perfect for a 5ft 2in adult. • Decent performance

Children's backpack shoots. Osprey, Deuter,Gregory

Excellent backpack, blue-orange, well made. I have ordered 3 different packs of Osprey, Deuter and Gregory all in the 40 liter range. The Deuter was a strong second, the shape/fit was great, the torso adjustment was easy to adjust and the waistbelt was the widest of them all. What made him second. The back panel/frame is a sheet of plastic, there was no real air gap between the backpack and the back. As for the size of the user. This backpack easily fits a wide range of children. Both my 7 andโ€ฆ
