Good value for money

So far I have scanned over 3000 slides, 135 black and white negatives, color negatives in sizes 135, 110 and 126. The digital output roughly corresponds to the scanned printed image in terms of resolution and color balance . With practice the scanning will become faster and faster, the controls allow you to rotate the scan right to left and upside down, saving you time without having to re-feed negatives. The transfer from the device to the PC is easy by replacing the SD chip or directly…

Insert SD card from bottom to top

Working. The documentation could be much better. Without an SD card, only about 18 22-megapixel images can be stored. At first I couldn't get the SD card to work, so I had to work with 18 image packs. Comes with a mini USB cable to connect to my laptop for power and data. Did this about 30 times before trying to insert SD card upside down. It worked. So adjusting color balance, brightness and such is pretty limited. but it does the job. If you have a lot of negatives that you want to digitize…

Easy to use device

So far I have had no problems with this product. It took a few minutes to learn how to use it. After I learned how to use it and write to a memory disk, I haven't had any problems with it yet.

Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great product overall

Great value for money. Does exactly what you want. It's a bit difficult to understand how it works at the beginning, but once you get it, everything will go smoothly. The hardest part was formatting the memory card (I had to do it on a PC, not a Mac).

  • Easy to install

  • Out of style

Worked good for the money

I had some old slides that I got when my mom switched to scanning from the 60's and 70's. Too bad we didn't see her when she was alive. The quality of the slides themselves was poor. If you have old slides, don't expect them to be perfect. This slide scanner worked very well with the slides I had to work with. He did a good job setting the white balance and exposure. Eventually this slide scanner turned out to be cheaper than sending your slides to be scanned!

Good product good service

Inherited over 1000 slides from his father plus many of his own negatives. This device is ideal for quickly viewing the subject and determining whether you want to digitize it. (it only costs $75). I'd say it's not a professional device if scanning is important, but it does an excellent job of day-to-day scanning. The machine seems to be prone to dust (and you can quickly skim a lot of negatives/slides), so check the stacks as you scan and clean them if necessary. Overall very happy with the…

Don't waste your time and money on this unit

I bought this unit thinking it would help me get rid of a lot of film I had in stock but after I scanned a few photos I realized something was wrong. I saw the images were cropped and decided to check how much of the original image I had lost, so I tried all the modes to get the full size. I was able to scan full size in slide mode, but of course all the colors are inverted. When comparing both photos I noticed that too much is cropped. I'm posting 3 images of the same photo shot on 135 film…
