The left right button was a slightly different shape

The left right button was a slightly different shape than the original on my HHR so it didn't fit. I was able to remove the left right button from the original one and put it on the new switch (not difficult). now everything works. The quality of the new part was no worse than the original.

Doesn't fit 2008 HHR

This switch doesn't fit my 2008 HHR SS although it says here on Amazon that it works. It connects perfectly to the electric skewer and works, but doesn't fit in the door. The left and right selector switch does not fit the hole, it is too big. And I broke the switch trying to attach it so I can't even get it back now. :(

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Just clean the old one to fix it

Intermittent contact like the old one. If you disassemble it, simply clean the contacts thoroughly, even the smallest bit of lint will prevent them from working. So if your old switch is intact, save some money and clean it. Also, my old derailleur had rounded ends on the left. - the right selector switch and this switch were square so the top of the switch had to be swapped.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Not the best

Appropriate, but not quite.

Assumed installation for a 2009 HHR LS. It barely fits into the latches under the panel and pulls it so tight that the left-right selection button pops completely out of the panel and dangles around the edges. You can see in the photo how it sticks to the left and unless you press it VERY hard it won't go to the right or center. Because of this, it will break very soon. Terrible quality.

fits well, installation is easy of course

Well I had to buy this to replace my factory which was missing a pin. (how evenly?) Definitely works. Fits perfectly, installation is of course easy. and it either has some light or glow in the dark to make hands glow in the dark. Definitely helps when driving at night after letting someone else drive my car. I'm 5'2 and by far the shortest in my family. It really sucks when I'm driving down the street and I look in my mirrors and I can almost see the sky. giggle

  • Free for educational purposes

Relatively easy installation

The biggest problem I had with installation was removing the old part from the plug. For some reason it's just really there, and from the videos I've seen, I'm not the only one who had problems with it, so GM is doing it, not anyone else. The job took about 45 minutes, about 10 of those minutes I struggled with the old plug to remove it. So far everything works great. I also see a light on this one and the old one's light went out so it was something good I wasn't expecting.

Doesn't quite fit my 2010 HHR

I got this to replace a broken switch in my 2010 HHR LT, the up/down control stopped working, or maybe it was left/right, me don't really remember. Anyway, after figuring out how to get into the panel (I saw a video of me trying to take the door apart, not necessarily, just unscrew the screws in the doorknob and you can see the panel pull out.) However, after opening panel I had an issue where the toggle switch didn't fit. My HHR had a rounded rocker switch, this one was more square. After some

Great inexpensive replacement mirror switch for 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx

Yes it will fit a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx! For some reason Revine's system says this switch doesn't fit my car, but it actually does! My Story: The original car mirror switch no longer worked to adjust a mirror, so I decided to try this inexpensive switch. I watched a YouTube video on how to slide out the plastic door panel to access the back of the switch. This part was a little tricky but I took my time and didn't break anything. Once the trim was off I removed all the wire harnesses to makeโ€ฆ

Works but not perfect for 2009 HHR

Ordered this to replace the power mirror switch on my daughter's 2009 HRR LT. The vehicle is listed correctly on my Revain profile and the filters say it is the correct switch for the vehicle. Looks almost (almost) identical to the original, the electrical connection is correct. The problem is not with the mirror adjustment switch, but with the left/right rocker switch. The original has rounded corners, this replacement has straight corners. It's fine as long as you don't install it. The slotโ€ฆ

It works, but you need to tweak a bit.

Edit: I last bought one of these in 2017 and it's time to buy another one. Unfortunately, there is no other choice but to continue replacing them. The motors in the mirrors draw too much current for this switch. Again, I just transferred the original left/right rocker switch to my new part and it works like new. This switch will fit most GM vehicles with a similar switch layout with very simple modifications requiring no cutting or filing. I couldn't find an exact switch replacement for myโ€ฆ
