Works as advertised

I was pleasantly surprised with this product as some of the reviews were less than positive (although most were from enthusiastic users). I've found this to work very well. Of course, as with any device that digitizes prints, especially logo fonts and other odd typefaces that appear on business cards, the user sometimes needs to make minor corrections. I dropped a stack of business cards in a matter of minutes, whereas it would take an insane amount of time to enter the data myself. I am veryโ€ฆ

Very accurate scans

I tried scanning business cards from a cell phone camera, but spent more time editing the results than it would have taken to just type them into a computer myself. Then I bought this business card scanner. Works perfectly. Very accurate, although some unusual business cards can confuse him. However, most simple business cards capture the data accurately. A great time saver when you have a lot of cards to process. Use this with Scan210, a Canadian software company whose software works with this

Works most of the time

Bought to digitize hundreds of business cards I've collected over the past few years. This scanner seems to work well when the card is fairly plain vanilla (not a lot of fancy fonts or data positioning). We have to correct the data input for about 10% of the cards (data was imported incorrectly). Now that I've scanned over 300 cards, I've noticed that the reels are starting to slip a little. This causes the card to curl slightly as it passes the scanner, resulting in a slightly crooked butโ€ฆ

Works Windows 7 64-bit

Contrary to some reviews here, this works with Windows 7 64-bit I'm not talking about Office or Outlook compatibility, but at least Cardsscan and the scanner work with the operating system . I do not share cardscan data with other software, I only use the cardscan software that came with the scanner. This cardscan makes more noise than the old silver model I use at work. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with that, or if the newer model is just louder. As others have pointed out, Cardscan

General. a good buy for the office

I bought a card scanner a long time ago. Almost all get mixed reviews. I work from home and have had several bundles of cards that take up space and do nothing else. My work computer is running Windows 7 and Outlook 13. The software is installed and working properly. I scanned 250 cards for the first time and was immediately disappointed when I saw that they were scanned in one colour. An oversight I didn't consider and didn't look for. I just assumed it would scan color. Otherwise it did aโ€ฆ
