Regular camping bottle, not worth it

PROS: Inexpensive, works with batteries installed. The lighting is good (not great) inside the tent at night. CONS: weak fan, not enough cooling for one person in a hot tent (or even a cool one), no airflow inside the tent. I've had this unit for about 4 years now and I've used it on several hikes, not because it works, just because it sits in my camping bin and I never take it out. Rschunimagu. But I think it helps in 100 degree California heat and you don't have the energy to wave your hand…

No brains. It's easier to fix than a belt

After 12 years our Dyson DC14 finally doesn't work like this anymore. After checking, it turned out that the belt was slipping and the striker bar was not rotating enough. Wanted to order a new belt and came across this one. For a little more money you get 2 new belts and a clutch assembly, no brainer. I ordered and received within 2 days. My son actually replaced it in about an hour without a special belt tool. Also, it takes some time to clean it while disassembled. Make sure you have a set…

Restores the vacuum's performance to run like new

Replacing this part requires some semi-specialized tools, but there's nothing here that can't be accomplished with a little time and effort. Restoring a near-new cleaning capacity on my Dyson DC14 while saving over $400 on a new vacuum purchase makes this an easy task. I didn't purchase the recommended accessories (belt hook and locking clip) but I can see how it can help if you're uncomfortable battling and twisting your fingers with newer, much tighter drive belts. If your vacuum has "lost"…

Broken?: Attachments

Well finally my main drive belt that feeds the clutch gave up after reading how to change it the easiest way was to replace the entire assembly. Ordered a new clutch kit, definitely lost in stock, install goes straight but too hard, lots of twisting and pulling and just trying to squeeze in without damaging anything. So after putting it in, it seemed to work fine, and all of a sudden the clutch disengages and just screams that clicking sound. Going through and checking everything again, it…

Fits and works, I would buy again.

This genuine Dyson replacement clutch is the first (and only) I have purchased from this seller in this market. This was the second replacement clutch assembly I have had to purchase to replace a much inferior unit from a different supplier in a different market. The genuine replacement Dyson clutch assembly included appears to be part of the OEM as it meets and performs to Dyson specifications. The assembly itself is of high quality, with no screws. The strap looks like strong, resilient…

For $27 my 17 year old $600 Dyson Animal DC14 works like new! Installation took about 30 minutes, and the longest time was attaching the belt to the brush roller (I also bought a new one). There are great videos on YouTube showing how to do it. I can't believe how stretched the old belt was and that's probably why there was a crackling and grinding noise every time I turned on the vacuum. Not only can you replace the belt, you have to replace the entire clutch assembly, but at a very reasonable

UPDATE - April 15, 2020 - Dyson Design & Parts for Quality Assurance

My 12 year old Dyson DC33 suddenly stopped picking up dirt from the carpet. The racquet stopped spinning. I cleaned the bar. No rotation. I removed the black plastic ends of the whisk and cleaned the hairballs. No rotation. Remaining belts or clutch assembly. The straps were intact. The original Dyson clutch assembly was a necessary part. The rasp bar now rotates. I was able to fix my Dyson DC33 using some YouTube videos. It wasn't easy, but certainly not impossible. There were some tools I had

By following YouTube's installation instructions, you saved $140!

Livened up my vacuum and saved me $140! We have a Dyson DC33 that was in dire need of a clean as my wife's hair was so tangled in the brush and the brush wouldn't spin. I cut and pulled out all my hair. Pooh! 😝 But when I turned it back on, the brush still wasn't spinning. (FYI the brush only spins when the switch is on the carpet and the vacuum is not upright). So I called Dyson and we fixed the issue over the phone. Told me to go from bare floor to carpet 8 times. That does not work. Then I…

This is actually a genuine Dyson part!

I'm the type of guy who likes to fix things when I don't have to completely replace them so it was a stroke of luck to find this little gem online. Installation is fairly easy and will fit many old Dyson vacuums which fortunately have many older models that use the same part. The units are supplied with two belts, one connected to the motor drive shaft and the other turning the brush roll. Now just start by pulling the strap around the brushroll is quite a hassle and many recommend getting a…
