Read before you buy

Very easy to install on my aftermarket trunk. The only drawback is that no screws are included. Lots of bad reviews that need improvement. Not in my case with secondary tire mounting. Read and follow my photos for reference when purchasing.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • High price

does his job. - Body & Trim

I bought an EAG front bumper and I really liked it, so I tried it. It works. However, I had to drill 2 holes in the tire backing plate to get these cleats through. After that, it is not so difficult and easy to install. When mounting a 12.5" wide tire on the rim, it is difficult to get to the nuts.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • There are nuances

A little tricky to install

Couldn't install as I had a rear camera that covers the holes but this product looked sturdy and was a little tricky to install as you have to get through the small space that is available for installation. They are from the back of the jeep gate. Before mounting, the tire must be mounted.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Has flaws

Check your tire fitment before you buy!

I have tried an aftermarket holder/bumper and the rim fits almost completely in the holder. This product didn't work for me as the bolts protruded about 1.5" from the wheel, but it should fit the OEM tire holder. Other than that, it seems pretty solid.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

This is a great product well made and powder coated black

This is a great product well made and powder coated black. Fits perfectly as seen in the pictures. A very simple, well designed product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. One important thing to note is that you MUST take it off to remove the stock part and the screws are difficult to access from the back.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Working speed

Not suitable for normal wearers!

I'm sure it would be a great quality product if it worked. The powder coating is good and thick, the metal is thick and well coated. The structure all around was worth 5 stars. It doesn't get 5 stars from me because, as others have said, it doesn't fit the standard tire holder. The bolts sticking out at the back are too long! Honestly I'm not sure which tire holder fits, but if it does, you'll be very happy with it.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Updates

The rod mount needs to be drilled.

This product seems to cause a lot of confusion. The part goes through the two holes of the spare wheel without nuts, but is suddenly stopped by the tire carrier because it has no holes. In order for this product to work, it must be drilled. Not sure if this is just my car, I drive a 2008. I personally don't mind drilling it out if I ever decide I no longer need the bracket, the holes won't be noticeable as they are behind will be my spare wheel. Tires. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Fits

Here's a problem, it's not for you Blame the holes you need. IT NEVER FITS. NOW THIS IS ALSO DELIVERED WITHOUT PAPER KRAFT OF ANY KIND AND THERE IS NO FACT THAT PEOPLE LEAVE REVIEWS SAYING IT IS GREAT, IT IS A LIE. DO NOT BUY THIS, YOU ARE ALL WARNING NOT TO SEND THIS POS BACK

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Minor issues

Ridiculous mounting solution

First, I use EAG bumpers and fenders on my 2011 JKUR. These are great products; well built, well finished and easy to install. However, whoever designed this moving license plate holder should be fired without undue haste. It's almost impossible to fit the rear wheel nuts to the wheel, even if you first loosen the nuts that attach the spare tire to the tailgate bracket to give enough room to put your hand, your wrist, your forearm, your head, your ratchet... and reach your steering knuckle…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell
