Buyer warning! on Aquarium water treatment

Do not buy this stone! I bought a medium for my 29 gallon fresh water tank. I soaked it for 24 hours as directed (more like 35 actually) and within 24 hours of putting it in my tank 3 of my fish were dead and my whole tank was covered in white dirt. All my fish were fine before using this stone. Absolutely disappointed!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Secret

Bought 2 for my 75 gallon

I have three turtles so you can imagine how messy the water gets without extra help. First I had a Biostone and after a week I noticed a significant difference. Since the recommended amount is 40 gallons with one, I got the second. Look before and after with two stones. This within two weeks.

  • New
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Ruined my fresh water tank

Everything is covered in salt (stuck) and can't be removed. Basically everything is a mess: my heating, my pump, filters, pipes. I've been cleaning this aquarium for hours and I can't get the salt off the glass. I'm so pissed. I'm just tired now. I can't waste any more time. I have to buy a new pool, everything is new, everything is in this salt film. When I think I've taken it off, once the parts are dry there's a white film of sand.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • So far so good

4 Dead Fish suitable for fish and aquatic animals

I'm honestly surprised by all the stars. I bought this for my 10 gallon aquarium (item fits 8-60 gallons). Soak overnight according to directions. Transferred to the aquarium the next day and within 24 hours 3 fish were dead and another soon to follow. I immediately removed the stone and changed the water. I hope my remaining fish will still be alive when I get home from work. I am very disappointed in this purchase. I've had these fish for months and never had a problem until I used this…

'Clearly' AMAZING for aquarium water purification

I was cleaning my tank and after a few days it was turning muddy green, finally did some research and they suggested that the EcoBio block would help balance the phosphates. The price seemed high but they say it lasts 1.5 to 2 years so it's worth it. The instructions say it takes a few weeks to see a difference, but I saw it within a week. I also added some real plants to improve the condition of the water. I am convinced of this product. Here are before and after photos about a week apart.

Be patient and give it time

My turtle tank was suffering from New Tank Syndrome where the water was constantly cloudy and didn't seem to be getting better after 2 months. I bought the EcoBio Stone medium hoping it would increase the number of microorganisms that help purify the water. After the first week it didn't seem to do anything at all and I almost gave up and declared it a failure. I'm so glad I have more time to do this because the second week I could see through the water better and by the end of the third week I

Works like magic! MARVELOUS! And update

Wow! You don't understand my excitement that I woke up today. I've spent the last 3 1/2 months doing everything I can to clean my fish tank. Tried endless water changes. All kinds of water operations up to the point of losing 3 fish due to the poor condition of the water that I could not clean. THEN I put this eco bioblock 2 days ago and today I woke up in crystal clear water. The disappointment has now become an occasion to enjoy. The rock is big but not too big for my 20 gallon tank. It hides

Works best on fish and aquatic animals

I have had an aquarium for a long time and after removing algae blooms I started seeing cloudy water. I left town for a week with other people feeding the fish and when I came back the cloud looked like a southern fall morning that wasn't going to go away. Vacuumed, water changed, clarifier added. Still cloudy. I have replaced my sponge filters with a large jet/charcoal/wheel filter. Still cloudy. That block was my Ave Mary. First, I read guides, comments, and reviews. I put it on the bubbler…

A bit pricey but worth it.

My aquarium is actually much cleaner and requires less maintenance. Fish are healthier. Rocks are rough as hell for a rooster so his fins don't like it, but most of the time he doesn't mind rocks. I placed this rock right next to the bubbler to allow the good bacteria to move around. The water is clear since I put it in. Algae became even less. When algae cover the top of the rock we clean the tank, but basically I don't need to clean the tank more than once a month and that's just to get poop…

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • I have no aversion to it, everything is fine

it totally works!

I'm up for the second time. I got my first when I started my aquarium. I have 29l. The water was clear the whole time and I wondered if the rock was doing anything. A little over a month ago I noticed that the water had become cloudy. I did my usual water changes, vacuumed the gravel, changed the filter and nothing. the same muddy water. The stone was supposed to last a year and a half, but mine might have lasted less than a year. I have decided on a new stone. Reading the instructions it says…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Useless features
