Impressive - Spacers and Adapters

Works better than I expected. It used to be aluminum, but wood helps restart. A laser thermometer will typically show a 50-60 degree difference between the carburetor and intake once it has reached operating temperature.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Volume

Stud too short

Spacer works raise it to cool the carburetor. With this gasket and a freshly cleaned carburetor, my truck runs better than ever. But the included cleats were too short. If it wasn't for the issues I had with the heels I would have given this whole day 5 stars.

Pros
  • Durable fairing
Cons
  • Disappears

Better low speed behavior with actuator cam

The 4 hole spacer has greatly improved low speed and highway behavior compared to the split spacer on my Ford 289 with cam and Edelbrock Performer intake. I also had to lean the idle mixture after installation. So apparently this should improve fuel economy.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Don't really like it, all fine

BEST update! - Carburettor and spare parts

I had an issue with my 1986 C10 with a 350 and Edelbrock 600 carburetor that would stall if I sat in traffic for more than 5 minutes. I've also had seemingly unrelated idle issues, rich power, low low-end torque. I was able to route the vacuum lines correctly and get the timing right, but I still had some issues. After installing this seal I have no more problems! In fact, my truck starts right after hot stars where it used to require some gas swimming! Good product!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Short Manual

Quality item but will not work with my Edelbrock Carb & Intake combo

This is a quality seal/insulator hence my 3 star rating. 2101 intake manifold (transition from Edelbrock 1406 Carb to Edelbrock 2101 Intake). It leaves a huge air gap on both sides, it won't work in any way no matter what combination of pads you try, there just isn't any downforce material. Trust me, I'm a retired aircraft mechanic with 30 years of experience. One would think that Edelbrock thermal pad would be fully compatible with all Edelbrock products, but that is clearly not the case here.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Functionality

Easy installation with no leaks

Easy installation. No leakage. I don't know if that really helps as I also replaced my crappy old carburetor with an Edelbrock 500 at the same time, but it certainly won't hurt. My truck starts perfectly even in the hottest August weather. (A new carb helps!) If you have trouble starting in hot weather, this is STRONGLY recommended. I have a 1/2" and it works fine while still giving enough clearance to close the hood. Worth trying because it's cheap and easy to install. I had to buy it onlineโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Empty

A must have in hot environments

I have 3 of these installed, usually on my hot rods. The kit simplifies installation as it includes longer carburetor studs and 2 new gaskets. Sealant is not required. A typical installation problem is removing existing carburetor studs - they oxidize in the intake manifold and often require a double nut to remove. This 4-port model maintains proper manifold vacuum in the carburetor to ensure on-road vehicle handling. I would avoid models with an open combustion chamber. This part can help with

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • unreliable

if you have a flared manifold like mine

I have a 79 C3 Corvette with a jacked up intake manifold. You have an Edelbrock Performer carburetor model number 1400. To fit it you will need Edelbrock 2732 (or something similar) if you have a wide bore manifold like mine. Also, you need to lower the height of your setup, so get this air filter (JEGS 50021). And don't use a wing nut, just use a thin regular nut, all you can do to lower the height. Corvettes have ground clearance issues. The reason you need this gasket is to keep your gasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Good product! fits fuel system

This solved my problem for the time being with my CJ Jeep which was equipped with an AMC 304 engine with Edelbrock intake and a 1406 Eldelbrock carburetor installed. The problem was that it started quickly, when cold but lasted up to 6-8 seconds when hot. I couldn't even touch the carburetor because it was so hot. Now that I've got the gasket installed I can put my finger on the carburetor and it's a little warm at best. The engine rotates very quickly even after warming up to normalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • fits
