Great power cable for my Garmin Nuvi 780 GPS

This power cable works great for my Garmin Nuvi 780 GPS. I also have a Nuvi 760 GPS from a previous purchase. The power cord is suitable for both devices. I think the window mount is from the Nuvi 760 GPS so both fit the mount and work great with both devices. The connector is a little tight, so be careful when unplugging this cable. I am very happy to have found a power cable that works with my Garmin GPS and at a great price.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Nothing here

The product arrived on time and worked well. I couldn't see spending $150

Item arrived on time and worked perfectly. I couldn't imagine spending $150 on an original hard poppy cable like I did. The reason for the broken cable and/or adapter is that the hard cable has damaged the socket on the adapter where the cable plugs. This cable is very flexible and does not put pressure on the connector. It doesn't have a traffic antenna built into the cable, but at least it works.

Fits Street Pilot C550

Works as advertised. My old cable was a traffic cable that I had already paid for a lifetime traffic subscription for, but the transition piece had worn out and no one offered a traffic cable to transfer my tour subscription to. This new cable at least gives me power and now my Street Pilot C550 is charging again. I couldn't afford another new Garmin LMT at the time, so I upgraded my maps and bought this power cord. I'm back in business and now use Waze for traffic alerts when in urban areas.

Right under my nose

I have a nΓΌvi 780 that I haven't been able to use for years because of a broken charging cable. I don't know why I didn't think of trying Revain but I finally did and it's exactly what I was looking for and at a very reasonable price. I can't tell you how much time I spent on the Garmins website trying to find one and every place I was directed to had no idea what I was looking for. I am very happy with the availability of items at Revain and now I look here first for anything I need.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some problems

Good price car charger

This is a good quality car charger for our Garmin Nuvi. It fits very snugly to the back of the GPS device as well as the car charging port. The cable is about 3 feet long, leaving room to mount a GPS on the dash. The only downside is that there is a bright red light on the part that protrudes into the car. We had to turn the charger upside down to keep the light out of our eyes at night. However, for the price, it's a good replacement for our original car charger when it eventually broke.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Reviews really work! I'm glad I listened

This adapter works better than the Garmin adapter I had, the Garmin adapter didn't even light up, you had to wiggle it to get it to light up, this one here lights up without having to move it. This one works well when the Garmin adapter was really tight and it was like pulling teeth to get it out. It's not difficult to work with, it's small and feels good in your hand, and it has a long cord, which I really like. Garmin's cable isn't that long. I'm so glad I listened to the feedback because it…

Updated Rating

It's too early to tell. It didn't power my Garmin Nuvi 750. I was able to get power when I connected it to my computer to update maps. I ordered a new stand as suggested to see if that is the problem. Then I will update my rating. Oooooh, I think I hooked it up wrong. There is a picture of an arrow that should point outward when plugged in. It's easy to plug in and charges great. I originally connected it to the arrow facing me and it was weird because it didn't go in easily! Now I don't have…
