EEZ Y Windproof Travel Umbrellas Rain: Stay Protected and Dry on Your Travels Review

I bought this umbrella because I was tired of my umbrella being blown to shreds by New York winds on rainy and cold days. Luckily, two days after delivery, we had one of those cold, windy and very rainy winter days. The wing withstood gusts of wind well and kept me relatively dry.

I was delighted with this umbrella after reading many positive reviews. As I walked with him outside in the rain, I noticed to my horror that not only were my hands stained with blue paint, but my shirt was also ruined. The only logical question is: who makes or sells an umbrella with paint dripping from the water?

I've never had an umbrella blown over by the force of the wind, but when I have to buy one new (I have three small umbrellas and they are never there when I need them). I chose this one because the reviews were good and I thought the windbreak would be an added bonus. I bought it over a year ago and have used it about 6 times. I really like the size and color especially the double canopy which is very helpful in the wind. HOWEVER, I eventually realized that this umbrella has a flaw that ultimately caused me to throw it away and buy another one. Closing is almost impossible. Wind resistance and construction: The spokes seem to have a weak point around the end of the spring that bends easily in fact they are thin metal compound. Several spokes bent after the first windy day and broke on the third windy day. The rest of the umbrella seems solid so I'm hoping this gets fixed. My rating is based solely on the amazing customer service experience. I have previously purchased two EEZ-Y Windproof Double Canopy umbrellas and have had to agree with many of the positive reviews. This is a top notch product and given my personal experience in downtown Los Angeles it can get very windy and this idea was put to the test.
