This is FABULOUS for projection screens

This electric screen works perfectly. Used manual. My family and friends are very impressed with this screen. Also buy a wireless trigger that syncs with your projector and when you turn on the projector the screen will automatically shut down. Definitely recommend this screen to anyone who wants to buy it.

Excellent screen

Great looking screen, very durable screen materials and lower cost than I expected. It doesn't even reach the bottom of the screen, so now I have to find a nifty solution for the silly looking extension cord - no screen screws, just RC mounts. The two RCs (they give you both an IR and RF version, which is nice) are really beat up, as seen on TV, made of plastic - the motor isn't as quiet as it's supposed to be, but then again it is it's only for half a minute, so no problem

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Legacy model

Don't waste your money on this

I give 1 star because there is no way to put -1. Once installed, the motor is permanently on and cannot be stopped if you turn it off. Both remotes and RJ-45 controllers have the controls reversed. If you press up they go down, if you press down they go up, if you press pause they do nothing, so as said there is no way to stop the motor from running continuously, unless you manually disconnect the cable. As soon as I saw this I realized it was defective and I had to send it back. But after…

If it breaks after 2 years, it's impossible to fix.

I bought this screen a little over 2 years ago and it no longer works. It started with a thud as the screen rolled up, and now it doesn't move at all. The screen is completely clamped in the housing. I contacted Elite Screens regarding this and they told me that the 2 year warranty has expired. Although disappointing, I asked them if I could send them the screen and pay them to fix it. They told me THEY DON'T FIX THEIR OWN SCREENS! I then asked them about a repair shop that I could send it to…

Excellent quality, flexible operation, good picture

Two of these were sent to me as they were permanently damaged by the carrier. They come in a large, fragile box. My second had a little water damage on the screen but some bathroom cleaner with bleach fixed it ;) Mounting options are pretty limited. The shaft is mounted on a horizontal support running parallel to the screen. The screw holes on the mounting brackets are slightly wider than the width of the beam so I bought two heavy duty screws and used them to attach (one at each end) and hope…

Inexpensive screen but not perfect

The screen arrived in damaged packaging. The courier was very knowledgeable and helped me open the box, inspect the contents and check for any damage. The end cap was bent (I found out later that there is a small dent in the middle of the case). I contacted Elite Screens and they sent me two replacement end caps (one of two different sizes) about 5 days after the ticket opened on their website (weekends included). Another complaint is that the screen doesn't have a good mount. brackets. Yes…

Engine starts spontaneously

I bought one of these (VMAX2, 100" 16:9) used at a big discount because there was no way I would pay full price for that screen when it was off - brand competitors have much lower prices. The motor is slow but not obtrusively loud. This model has multiple control methods including plug-in wired remote control,IR remote control,RF remote control and more advanced methods I have not tried. One of the advantages of this VMAX2 is that fiberglass is built in to keep the screen flatter when pulled…

VMAX2 110 " HARMONY ELITE COMPATIBLE & EPSON 3500 PROJECTOR

is not heavy but not easy to work with, 1-1/2" is rated for 175 lbs (more than necessary). 2. Be sure to use a large spirit level if you need to pave a side. I just used some small washers between the ceiling and the base of the screen, you can't see them from the ground, a cleaner look. QUALITY: durable, I got the black model, and the screen material is fiberglass, the ESPECTRUM SERIES is fabric, if I'm not wrong this series is more expensive. ODOR: smells like a solvent for the first few days

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Not bad but the edges aren't smooth enough

VMAX2 - 135", 16:9 MaxWhite FG (Tube Motor) used with Epson 6040UB. Upgraded from 120" 7 year old 16:9 motorized screens in my multipurpose living room. Advantages: 1. Very durable construction2. Great picture quality when the light is under control, although it's no different from my previous screen from 7 years ago.3. Beautiful black borders4. 2 people are recommended to install, but you can do it alone if you carefully measure and fasten one end at a time. Cons: 1. Doesn't come with L…
