Creates a fantastic viewing experience

I needed bright full screen projection for my seminar participants. Epson PowerLite 1771W met all my expectations. It's small and compact for a streetfighter and a pleasure to look at. As I walked down the hall and looked into the conference rooms during PMI Mega SeminarsWorld, most of the screens were partially full and blacked out. Our room contrasted sharply with a beautiful display.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Better than expected

I am very happy with this little one. It's thin and fits in my backpack next to my small laptop. I haven't found a way to easily transport my presentation with a USB drive, but I will try to upload my presentation as images and that might relieve me as well. Works well even if the place is not 100% dark. Great offer. November 25, 2014 If you can throw in some cash for a Bluetooth option, DO IT! I find it difficult to connect this good projector to my phone or tablet.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some small things

Installed the projector this morning everything is fine. Very bright even in a sun-drenched room. Small enough to be portable enough. Autofocus, keystone correction, etc. make setup easier. The only drawback is that a driver CD is included. Since many laptops don't have a CD drive these days, you must be smart enough to go to the website and download the drivers. Don't confuse this with cheap (under $150) projectors. I tried two of them and there is absolutely no comparison. They are not…

The size of a small laptop

My wife needed a portable projector for presentations at work - she travels to people's homes quite a bit and gives presentations there so it needs good brightness as she often lighter conditions. One of these ultra-portable laptops would be ideal, but with only 20 to 100 lumens of light, they're just not practical. As for the size and weight of the 14-inch laptop, it comes with its carry. Bag containing her laptop (this trolley bag is too heavy to carry over the shoulder) Easy to set up and…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Very happy and impressed with this projector!

After weeks of comparing models, features, manufacturers and prices, a small but powerful projector was found; this is the one. I have just returned from a business trip in Europe and have been carrying it back and forth in my backpack. During the 15 minute setup prior to my 4 hour presentation and review of our business software, I found that the customer's embedded system would not display our application brightly enough (third floor conference room with windows on the wall) or with…

Great projector for entertainment and business

I bought this projector for some upcoming meetings. The place where I hold meetings wanted to charge $200 a day to rent a projector, so I decided to buy one as I needed to rent it for two days. I was looking for something light and portable. This is smaller than I expected as I'm used to a larger projector. The output is fantastic. I have an office with 3 large windows and there is a lot of light in my room. I can project onto a green wall with the blinds open and the lights on and still see…

Terribly incorrigible Blue Shift

Bought this used from Revain. And once the problem was identified, the return process went great. So the role of Revane was perfect. Revain deserves five stars for his performance in it. The projector has been running for 130 hours (internal software tracks this) and has been carefully packed in its original box and plastic packing materials. However, the LED engine in it was terrible. There are some nice RGB controls in the internal software, but they couldn't do anything about the obvious…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Minor problems

Large size and suitable for travel.

This is a great projector. Notes: For a one-time use, many will likely just need to put the projector in Eco mode to turn off the fan. Fan noise is unlikely to be an issue for large presentations. Also, the display is much brighter when it's not in Eco mode. The slider on the lens effectively mutes the display in Eco mode and Normal mode. A slide in Eco mode sounds almost as if the projector is switched off, while in Normal mode this is not the case. However, there is a shutdown timer that the…

Pros
  • Certified

Very Good Car: Video Projectors

Excellent brightness and color. I wanted to show video and artistic photography, so I need a wide dynamic range to keep detail in shadows and highlights. The projector makes them available during the day in rooms with large windows in both normal and economy mode. I find it useful to dim fluorescent lights. However, the dark areas in the photo are not quite as dark as one would expect from a high quality monitor. I was able to stream video and audio from my MacBook Air over the projector's LAN…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
